Is this normally how you respond to being wrong?

Every time I read "ice your kicker" I know it is someone who doesn't watch games very closely.

It's a turn on a dime, for sure. Doesn't matter. Garrett's turned things around in Dallas, and it was a huge job.

Anybody who wants to believe he's been a marginal player in that capacity is free to indulge in their fantasies. The writing has been on that wall from the day he took over.

I agree with all this 100%. I was ecstatic when he replaced Wade, because of his approach to operating and his youth. My only fear was Jerry not giving him the time or the resources to fix the glaring holes on the line. I, at the time, was not counting on Stephen to tag team in also.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I see it as he has a mindset about what type of team he wants, including the mental makeup. He played under Jimmy Johnson, and studied under Saban and Johnson... and even Coach K (Duke BB) and has taken the aspects that he wants and applied it to his own coaching. It has really worked well.

IMO, the most difficult thing for any NFL coach to do is to get the attention of the players and for them to buy in to his approach. Garrett has done that extremely well. When he came in cutting old, expensive vet players that had been pro bowlers... every player knew right away that it was produce or be cut. Not only that but it was produce up to the level of your pay or be gone.

He has done a very good job since his first year, but he is getting better all the time.

IMO he is literally the perfect coach for the Dallas Cowboys, in large part because of the relationship he has with Jerry and how much Jerry trusts Jason to make the right decisions.

Just so I understand.

He finally got his "head coach" chip.

And his human skin has always fooled Jerry Jones.

Sounds about right.

I will take it.
