Pettiti only played one season with the Cowboys so I don't know how some of those players you listed could be lumped in with him especially RW31 who was a very good player for 4 seasons and made multiple pro bowls.

Later day RW31 was terrible and made no effort. He also struggled to understand the D.

That's completely the opposite if Petitti - he was a smart player with limited physical tools but high effort.

Totally opposite players

Lumping RW31 in with Rob Pettiti makes absolutely no sense when Pettiti was a 6th round pick who played and started only one season with the Cowboys. The Cowboys were stuck on the OL with little talent and pretty much had to start him which is why he became expendable after his rookie season. Pettiti lasted only 5 seasons in the NFL playing with 4 different teams and had only one start after he left the Cowboys. He was never that good a player or the Cowboys would have at least kept him as a backup.

The fact that he never stuck with a team more than 2 seasons points to him not being a very good player. RW31 was a top 10 pick who played like a top 10 pick for about 4 seasons. Even putting Felix Jones on that list makes no sense. He was a first round pick drafted to be a complimentary player to Marion Barber who was the starter. Felix never started a game as a rookie and played 5 years with the Cowboys showing flashes his first 3 seasons. Some here see things in a very odd way.

At times I think it's the entire team, coaches and front office.

But at the top of the list as players...Mo, Hayden, Carr. Then probably McFadden, before we get a chance to see what he can do, kind of like Ro McClain last year.
Lee will get his share of...can't stay healthy...comments, until he does. I'm sure Escobar will still get some crap too for being a 2nd round pick.

And the 1st player with an injury no matter if major or minor will get the "bust" label, especially if a rookie.
Terrence Williams will get some hate with his first "body" catch.
.....only thing that is never put down are the cheerleaders....and if anyone ever does, should be a life time banishment .....

I wasn't on the zone back then but can't see why anyone would hate on Pettiti when he became only the second rookie OT in franchise history to start on opening day. The guy was a 6th round pick and ended up starting all 16 games as a rookie so why he was receiving any hate is beyond me. Most 6th round picks are lucky to make your team as a backup. The fan base here should have been hating on Jacob Rogers one of the players Pettiti beat out. Rogers was a second round pick the previous season who lasted only 2 seasons with the Cowboys becoming a huge bust for the team.

It would be funny if Troy Hambrick (2000-2003) received the Rob Petitti (2005) award. I guess Petitti was so bad that people could see it coming in the future.

This year:

Probably deserved:
Nick Hayden. Weeden (maybe).

Probably not deserved:

Any of the RBs that are not perfect because people are but hurt about Murray leaving or not drafting their pet cat. Wilcox because people don't understand Safety play. Leary because people are infatuated with Collins.

Probably should be but won't:

Doug Free will get a pass because Broaddus and Mickey know him personally and won't say anything bad about him.

Jacob Rgoers award is more infamous. And I nominate Chaz Green. Lael Collins is going to make him look bad, real bad. It will be a bloodbath in here if an UDFA or a lower round pick moves past him as well.

When a team goes into a season without addressing a position correctly and it's glaringly obvious to fans they tend to turn on the player if they struggle all year. This is unfair on the player but it's how it is, you want to stop the complaints, be better.

If Carr doesn't take a discount I think he is on a sixteen game count down to departure.

Makes no sense turning against a rookie 6th round pick who was bound to struggle on an OL that was in shambles. Larry Allen was a shell of himself in his final season with the Cowboys in 05. Pettiti having to start that season shows just how bad the talent level was on the OL in 05.

Yea, that one never made sense. Almost couldn't tell the difference between a Cowboys' board and Eagles' board.....if it weren't for the pictures of Super Bowl trophies and Championship rings.

Yeah, that was bad. I'm surprised he was able to be as civil as he was.

Does anyone remember his dad's username? Would like to see if he's still in the data base and checkout some of his posts.
