Romo is only one man.

Not saying they are important. But in a league driven by parity it is your superstars that get people over the hump.

QBs are more valuable than WRs though. So if I can only have one man.......... it would be a QB well before a WR.

Does it bother anyone else how much of a constant distraction he is?

I don't think Dez is a distraction, I do think deals like this are a pain in the backside and will get a lot of attention. When everything is done and complete both sides will act like this was no big deal and will move forward.

Michael Irvin: Cowboys are 8-8 at best without Dez Bryant

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...in-cowboys-are-8-8-at-best-without-dez-bryant

What happens if Dez is on the sidelines for multiple games? According to Cowboys legend Michael Irvin, it's another 8-8 season at best.

"Who really has the leverage here? You think you're going on that football field without Dez Bryant? I was reading the articles today buddy," Irvin told "The Rich Eisen Show. "I was reading about how great Terrance Williams is doing. All that stuff is for Dez to read. It's easy to do great in minicamp.

"But if you think you see better than 8-8 without Dez Bryant, I'm telling you, you will not see better than 8-8 without 88."

Report: Cowboys offer Dez Bryant more than $12.8 million per year

Dez Bryant wants to get paid like one of the NFL's best receivers. And while the franchise tag does that, the Cowboys receiver is looking for something more than a one-year deal. How much more?

The Lions signed Calvin Johnson to a seven-year, $113 million extension in 2012, which works out to $16.1 million per season. Meanwhile, the Cowboys' original offer for Bryant was around $10 million per season over six years. And the franchise tag for wide receivers in 2015 is $12.83 million. And now, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the team has upped its offer to Bryant to more than $12.83 million.

Back in March Bryant tweeted that "$13 million is cool", referring to the franchise tag amount, before adding: "But where is my security? I'll wait ... Five years without complaining ... So how am I selfish?"

But if Bryant and the Cowboys don't agree on a long-term deal by 4 p.m. Wednesday, he will be forced to play on a one-year deal. And Bryant made it clear on Monday that without that new contract he won't be playing.

Well yes. Let us hope that they did. 12.8m per is his floor.

This isn't saying much.
