Why are people happy about only 5 years???

More years only helps DAL, the guarantees are long gone at that point

Because of how they worked it. He gets a lot of money up front and helps give us cap space NOW. Also free's up money in the next few years to lock up other guys. Worked out for both parties

Nothing like 100% pure speculation to make a thread interesting.

Jerry would have given him 10 years with 75 guaranteed and thought he had him under wraps till he was almost 40.
