BB is a good football evaluator but the chit chat is why I don't tune in and just read the recaps.
The only thing I don't like is the long winded callers and sometimes fast forward past their questions but I like Broadus break downs too.

Steve Dennis would still be going on about Murray. He just couldn't get over the fact that he was gone.
Yeah he definitely couldn't lol

Just glad Steve Dennis and his Ohio St loving, golf yammering is no longer on the Break.
I liked him but at times he seem like he didn't mesh with the other people on the show and was too combative with them. It wasn't that bad but more in a dude might not be here long type of way and I was right.

I would assume they ask the callers to hurry so they can take more calls. In the Philly area sports call in shows give you 2-minutes to make your point. That's a rule so the can maximize they amount of calls.
Exactly some people really call like they are taking to their friends in person. We didn't turn in to listen to Ray from Fort Worth or Camaro cowboy lol.

Honestly, I feel like the chatting almost makes it feel like I'm there hanging out with them, it feels natural. Can't really explain it, but I like it. Maybe it's because I find that my friends and I conversate similarly. But anyway, it is kind of hypocritical to ask people to hurry up when they have established this sort of conversational tone with the show.

Okay- I just looked at your sig...

For a 55 min show, they both get around 2 calls. 3 at the most.

LOL. Yeah, I had a feeling it might have been bordering on risque. Not sure why I went with that one on a whim, was going to change it to a Witten pic originally so I think I'll go and look for one of those again. :)

Bryan Broaddus is a moron. I mean a Type-A idiot with a severe ego. Why the heck anyone listens to that DB is beyond me. There's a reason he isn't scouting for the Cowboys anymore....and it probably has to do with his major incompetents in judgement. It's so laughingly bad that when he declares something, it's almost automatically going to turn out the opposite. I'm surprised that he and Bernardeau haven't moved-in together, yet.

Some callers do take too long to get to the point.
Broaddus is nice to Taylor, which I like. Nick seems to hassle her.

Bryan shouldn't take things to heart and just realize fans are just people, can't please everybody...

Gloss over the complainers and keep on trucking...

I've been out of the loop with Dallas sports talk for a while, but it seemed like callers were starting to develop their own schtick in response to the Ticket's popularity. I wonder if these guys are attempting to shut that stuff down before it starts.

I like Broaddus. I don't agree with people who say he has no clue what he's talking about. You can't be an NFL scout as long as he was and have no clue what you're doing. He states opinions affirmatively and rarely hedges, which will obviously lead to being dead wrong on occasion. I appreciate affirmative statements of opinion than Spagnola saying "we'll see" constantly, as opinions are fun and "we'll see" is stating the obvious.

I also like Newton on Talkin' Cowboys, as he makes me laugh.

Regarding how callers seem to be treated, I don't think it's terrible. Some people tend to ramble, and frankly it's a recipe for people to tune out.

I've often felt the same way this fan feels. If I were to call in, I'd be sure to ask everyone how their day is going. Especially BB. I don't mind the chit-chatting, either. It gives the show some personality, but it is a bit silly to rush the callers to their points and then to let yourselves digress off topic a few minutes later.

Don't agree about Talking Cowboys. I prefer Nate Newton and Mickey, I think, though I listen to both shows regularly.

I would prefer Talking Cowboys too except for the fact I can't stand Kelcy trying to talk over everyone. She is so freaking annoying and rude on the show.

Some days I can tell Mickey wanting to strangle her when she does this.

Broaddus is a jerk in general. On his twitter feed his responses are typically as short and dismissive as possible. A fan can ask a legitimate question and he'll answer in some stupid short way that basically answees nothing and only leaves more uncertainty. Unless he actually wants to stick his chest out at someone. Then he can use up those 140 characters. On his shows he gets so far off topic its not even entertaining. Not chit chat, but as the "host" he will get so far away from questions or topics and talk about irrelevant stuff, interrupt people and rambles. The only time I listen to him is on the draft show and thats to hear Dane. I don't know why, because Broaddus clearly thinks everyone only wants to hear him ramble on and barely lets Dane talk.
