I thought I saw that Witten also wanted him cut?

People speculated that because the people that reported the story didn't know which way Witten voted; however, that was never confirmed.

The fact that the only one that voted to cut him is the guy that might have a conflict of interest is pretty great.

I highly doubt Murray was afraid of Randle taking his job... Maybe Murray spent more time with this cat because of them playing the same position that he got to see what we are all seeing now up close and personal.

Thanks Woody's Girl for the posts. Saw it last night via twitter too. Very suspicious timing for the NFL. Something really has to be done about how they handle and doll out discipline.

As far as Randle, this makes a lot more sense as to why he left VR. The injury plus this, for a guy who is already pretty emotional and fighting tooth and nail to keep his job.

Those of you who want to cite this as another reason to expel Randle or applaud it as a chance to see someone else, need to get some class and a clue. This is old news, nothing new. It's the timing that is suspicious and bad. If anything, you should be angry at the NFL because whether you like it or not, they just weakened your team. Anyone who calls themselves a Cowboys fan and then applauds the loss of talent, especially at an already weak position, really should be embarrassed of themselves. You've put your exceedingly less informed agenda ahead of the team you say you love.

What are you seeing "up close and personal"?

I am by no means a Randle Supporter. I'm not a Non-supporter either as I support anyone who is our running back. THAT being said, he gets suspended and Manziel can BASH his girlfriend's head against a car window and it's all good? The NFL Is *(*%$#** UP!

Agree. Lots of inconsistency there. Also we are living in TMZ land now with the need to report any and all incidents .....

That Randle would be the starting RB for the Cowboys in 2015 while Murray had to go to NFL Siberia to get paid???

At that time there was no hint of Murray not being on the Cowboys... I highly highly doubt Murray was ever afraid of Randle taking his job. I'd probably bet my life savings on that

I guarantee 95% of the people sitting here with their sinister laughter, rubbing their callused hands like evils villains at the thought of Randle being suspended for something from months ago, were all about bringing in a guy who faced domestic and gun charges in the not too distant past as well...

The hypocrisy is thick this morning...

If Romo thought he was causing a distraction he would say it. Dez is the one that Randle called out in the jail video and got into it with Randle when he returned to practice.

No, Jason Witten got into it with him, too.

I'm sure he didn't think that Randle would beat him out based on performance but Randle did represent a fall back option for the Cowboys if they didn't give Murray a contract.

There were reports from good sources that Murray refused to come off the field when they wanted to put Randle in the game last season and that Garrett allowed it to happen. The front office was apparently slightly irritated because they wanted to see more of Randle in order to know if he was a good option for 2015. If you notice this off-season and this season that Jerry has mentioned that RBBC is better in the modern NFL and he's said it several times.

Witten told him to shut up when Randle and Dez got into it in practice. That does not mean anything other than exactly what happened.

Then why didn't Witten tell Dez to shut up?

See I thought something had happened with Witten, anyway the starting job was handed to Randle he could have locked up the spot but he didn't. Now since they're going with DMC, Randle's looking more and more like an unnecessary headache.

Actually, he did have the spot locked up. It was going to be RBBC all along. He'd started every game and gotten significantly more carries than anyone before getting hurt. And, prior to his effort in the last game, it was almost universally agreed upon, that McFadden was the one who should lose his job.

I don't know about this universal agreement, I know some people started saying that when they were pushing for Michael to start. The thing is up until last week none of those dudes had done anything to distinguish themselves the difference with Randle is he was given the most opportunities to show he was the clear cut best player at the position. Btw I'm not jumping on any bandwagons quite yet McFadden is getting his shot now but if he doesn't show he can get it done consistently then they should see what the other backs can do.
