While the division and playoffs remain a possibility I cannot bring myself to cheer for losses. I do see how from a big picture perspective losses are better for the draft and the future (especially given my suspicion this team would get ear holed in the playoffs).

You won't have to worry about that. We won't be making the playoffs. Now of course there are many on here that think that's going to happen but they're going to be in for a rude awakening for nothing.

This is nothing more than those pointless moral victories that got us nowhere during the Campo era. Made the poor fans and management smile but did absolutely nothing to help this team.

You know, it absolutely sucks that it has to come to this point because in all honesty I hate that we even have to be in this situation considering what the expectations and hopes were coming into this season.

But unfortunately that's where we are now and you have to look out for what's best for the team. Either hobbling into the playoffs or winning just enough to screw up draft position does nothing to help us and I can't quite figure out why people don't get that.

It's sad that we've gone from a culture that wasn't content with just simply making the playoffs and expected us to win the Super Bowl to where we are now where people are perfectly content hobbling into the playoffs to come up short even when it does more harm to the team in the process.

Because some people don't buy into that losers mentality. I can't quite figure out why people don't get that.

Reality never strikes them.

Because we're losers. That's probably why. This team is not a good team, no matter how much you try to convince yourself we're just not. This is not last years team. This is the team that has gone 1-7 with a backup QB and even then should have lost tonight.

There is only one thing that is going to help this team, and as difficult as it may be, that's not by trying to hobble into the playoffs to come up short.

Maybe you'll finally get your reality check next week.. It's doubtful but one could hope.

Quit your incessant crying in multiple posts.

Jerry himself was not happy with the game last night so your hyperbole you keep spouiting about the management smiling is horse hockey nor are fans happy with the performance, they are just happy they beat a big rival during a crappy year.

So give it a break.

This is where Jason Garrett is a godsend. In a season where its all washed up and your playing for the first pick in the draft, Clappy the Clown is just the guy you want coaching your team. He will make the biggest mistakes when it counts the most. Like not imploring his team to kneel on the ball when they could have easily iced the game. He all but assured that a guaranteed win would have been a loss. Clappy the clown had blown the clock management again and given the Commanders a chance to comeback which they did.

But alas, we were playing the hapless Commanders and he was equaled in his horrid coaching techniques.

Oh, and leaving Desean Jackson covered in man to man single coverage on that long TD bomb to get them back in the game was more pure genius. LOL

Marinelli should be fired for that one alone. And certainly no way the hapless Clappy the Clown was going to see that and call a timeout.

The idea of cheering when Desean Jackson scored that TD is disgusting and that is exactly what the higher draft pick guys are doing.

What "delusion" do people have? Saying we still have a chance to make the playoffs is not a delusion. There are ways to get into playoffs and that is why fans are still watching and cheering.

That doesn't mean anyone thinks our chances are high or that it will in fact happen.

Stop trying to set this up for your future "HA! I told you so" - no one is saying what you're pretending they are saying. I would say, in a way, you're delusional.

Look, I don't care about the amount of faith you have in the team. You don't believe we will make it to the Super Bowl, that's fine. Guess what, I didn't think we were going last year. I figured we would lose in the divisional or championship round, but I still cheered.

People cheer because there is a chance, even if it's a small one. Will we get to the Super Bowl? No. Hell, we probably won't make the playoffs. But I'll still be hoping we win games until we are eliminated from playoff contention.
