Where's the "like" button for the banner at the top of the page?

I don't understand it personally.

Everyone wants what is best for this organization.

Rooting for losses in what could very well be a lost season doesn't make you a hater or someone who doesn't love this team.

Reasonable people can disagree on whether winning out or losing put is better for this franchise in the long run.

The banner by mods is seemingly in bad taste. Just as those who can only post negative things about this organization.

I don't always agree with you, but this post you made is a perfect example of why I respect you. Awesome job.

I love the banner. I love the win. The only difference is that I'll be slightly less upset when we leave with the off chance we pick slightly higher with a loss. Wins a win and I can at least smile a little this year

Its absolutely gratuitous.

" ** Dedicated to the Cowboys fans who are happy when we lose! ** "

That is awesome... considering all the grief I took all week... Consider that motion seconded :hammer:

I don't get it myself, saying it is dedicated to fans who are happy when we lose implies that fans are wanting loses every week.

I didn't see any fans being happy when we were losing 7 games straight, in fact this is the first game of the year that a large segment of fans were talking about not being upset if we lose because even with a win, we still have to leap frog all 3 teams with a hard schedule remaining. If we don't win the division, all any additional loses would do would hurt the team in terms of draft position.

That was the line of thinking, not fans openly rooting against the team week in and week out hoping for loses.....that banner takes things out of context since I do not believe most fans on this site openly root against the team, if they did they would not be members for years and years.

Just my .02

Oh stop!

You know what the banner means and who it was for.

Plenty on this board were starting threads for losing out to get higher draft pick, etc.

I have to admit when I saw it I chuckled. Said to myself those mods... Nice!

I disagree... I recently learned their are a HUGE number of fairweather fans on here, who have been openly rooting for us to lose, AND insulting those of us pulling for our team to win (especially this week!). I have several threads to document this. Hard to believe, especially now being ONE game out of 1st (just as I predicted), but I am sure there are still a large number of 'fans' on here HOPING like he|| that we lose in GB. We shall see...

Please see Exhibit A:

You're right..

I'll just stay off here and let everyone enjoy the win.. As meaningless as it was..

Man this is a difficult win to swallow.

Not happy at all.

This win does nothing but hurt our future.

GB is going to hang half a hundred on us.

We are a awful team.

Disapointed with the win..

We are horrid and have no chance of running the table.. Winning tonight means nothing but worse draft position.

The score is fine and nice - it is the tag line that seems very small. Definitely not going to be confused with taking the high road. I guess if the point is to taunt and bait and then ban certain people it is a good strategy.

Because if you have a message board where you only allow one opinion or side of an argument to be voiced, you don't have a message board, you have an echo chamber.

Completely agree. And from the recent changes and the board message it seems to be indicating exactly that.

It's quite hypocritical.

I'm going to reiterate I don't think the board has gotten to this point at all, although I still think the banner was a poor choice.

I was reacting to someone who said it should be that way.

There is that. It could be seen as an open invitation. Hmm.

It was completely in poor choice. Give the score and leave it at that.

I completely agree.

Posting the score is just fine. It's the comment that's underneath that only a child would make given the line of thinking that only seems to be tolerated on this board anymore.

So I'm hoping that come our loss to the Packers next week that we'll have the score posted out there as well and a jab at those who want us to win even though we'll be missing the playoffs.
