I think this is the night we'll look back and say we realized Byron Jones is a safety and not a corner. He can maybe move into the slot at times a la Darren Woodson, but if you leave him outside long enough he'll be exposed, too often in critical moments.

What happened against az last year? He had Dez and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn...

What is your relation to WeDone? Dude is one of the worst draft picks in recent years. Did you buy a WeDone jersey when Dallas signed him? This is more confusing than Floatys love of Moore. At least that dude wasn't afraid to take chances

I saw the AZ game last year and yes, Weeden played bad against a good defense. He played like a nervous Nelly. No disputing that.

Weeden lost most of his starts in Cleveland; a horrible Browns team that would make Tom Brady look bad. With that said, the Cowboys defense is why the team lost to the Falcons and Saints this year. Thus, Weeden should've been 2-1 in his three starts. Just look at his QBR!

This is a situation when looking at stats doesn't tell the whole story. He isn't good at all. He lacks accuracy and does not see the field well at all. He should've stuck to baseball. We should've never signed him. Who ever made that decision should be fired and I hope he will be at the end of this season. We are on pace to have the 2nd worse season since 89 and this team as a lot of talent on it.

The Cowboys defense didn't look very talented vs. the Falcons and Saints. IMO, those games were the season's turning points. And those losses had nothing to do with Weeden, he put the Cowboys in a position to win both games.

We are now 1-9 in games not started by Romo and only thanks to Desean Jackson keeping it from being 0-10
I seriously don't know how you keep a coaching staff after that

This is how.

Really? He threw a disgusting INT against ATL that ended a scoring drive. He is just as much to blame for those losses. He didn't push the ball down the field allowing those teams to stack the LOS in the 2nd half and stop the run daring him to throw down field and he wouldn't. He doesn't have good pocket presence. You're suppose to work the pocket and climb it not retreat and go backwards that is why he is a career loser. Retreating shows mental weakness. This season was lost when we didn't address the RB situation. DMC has been a nice back and should've been starting since day 1, but again whoever made the decision to roll with that Joe guy should be fired. That decision and the WeDone/Cassel decision killed this season.

How this coach can survive the 2nd worse season since 89 is just beyond me. It's worse then the Campo years. What's even more mind boggling is this team has a lot more talent. But the staff doesn't take chance they don't scheme them to win games, and that's why there are those types of collapses.

We have seen time and time again that they don't play with good technique see tackling and defending the pass.

We have kept a guy like Hayden on the field when clearly he doesn't add anything to the mix in play making ability or creating double teams.

We aee other teams around the league winning with Backup QBs. Look at tonight a career journeyman in Fitz schooled this team. The Texans have won with backups, the Rams, the Steelers The Broncos to name a few. Coaching is the problem on this team.

I've said it since before he was drafted.... Byron Jones is a FS.

How can we know?

He's been bounced all over the place.

Yes, he gave up a long pass, but how do we know it was his fault? Rookie CBs all give up big plays.

I'm not saying he's a CB. We simply cannot possibly make any kind of assumption. If the team sees him as a FS, then leave him there. Quit jerking him around.

They need to hurry and decide what they want Byron Jones to be. They are going to slow down his development by moving him all over the place because he can't focus.

There was a perfect crap storm this offseason.

No real plan at RB killed us. Not necessarily losing Murray, but not making replacing him a priority. Maybe if we hadn't had delusions with Randle and started McFadden? Who knows?

Then our attitude at training camp killed us. If a player had a hangnail they would sit for extended times. This simply led to a lack of toughness and fight. We quit in the fourth quarter numerous times. I partially attribute that to the TC atmosphere.

The biggest issue was the Dez fiasco. He misses all offseason activities, misses all opportunity to build on his chemistry with Romo, and is quickly injured in camp. I have rarely seen a contract dispute end with the player having a great season (Emmitt Smith is one exception). He is not ready to start the year, and his lack of chemistry with Romo is apparent early. He is quickly injured. Now, it's a stretch to say his bone broke due to missing the offseason, but bad things tend to pile up.

Hargreaves or Ramsey.....?

Hargreaves is tempting... But I'm not sure if we should pass on a Goff or Paxton for a S or a CB. Also if we decided to roll the dice and somehow snag JFB do you ignore one of the backs like Zeke or Henry for a S or CB? I'd make a serious play for Eric Berry in the offseason as well.

I like all of these ideas. I wouldn't take a RB over the QB'S or top DB'S though. That hole can be plugged without using high value resources. McFadden was good tonight.

I agree but there's not much debate he's going to safety next year. If anything this year allowed him work with on coverage and is a good learning experience.

But see I think that thought process is what costed us this season. We didn't really address the RB position. Really I think we got lucky that DMC has been decent this year. But I think we really need to consider getting the back that can be here with the line for years. Zeke or Henry would be great backs behind this line. I'd much prefer Zeke though
