What most don't realize is the respect Jason Garrett has earned for coaching with an immense handicap.

He had a great plan for success but as Tom Landry said, the important part is not just having a plan, but sticking with it.

Jason's plan was conaistantly contaminated by the actions of Jerry Jones, and this came to a peak during this past preseason. It is very difficult to believe that Garrett was in favor of the way both Murray and Dez's contracts were handled.

I don't believe that Garrett really wanted Hardy. These actions are not conaistant with his stated philosophy.

I guarantee that Garrett's reputation around league offices is one of great respect.

If he left after this season he would be offered a Head Coach job so long as he was capable of accepting it.

JG is coming back next year.

Those still crying about it and offering hypothetical options about how he could be gone...

Wake up.

This behavior bordering on childish.

Many of us clamoring for him to be tossed to the side, but remember that he signed a 5 year/$30 million extension that's fully guaranteed. With him making $6 million a year and four years left, he's still owed $24 million reasons to stay.

That doesn't mean he won't be demoted or have certain abilities stripped away, but I can't see JJ forking that much cash to someone and not get a return, it's just not in his nature.

Yay.

It's not going to cost me a dime, actually.

So, yeah, I would love it if he were fired.

If I had Jerry's money, and I owned the Cowboys, that would be a small price to pay to get rid of a very average, at best, Head coach.

Lol nobody would offer him a HC job and I would bet anything on that. It took a guy like Zimmer forever to get one and he had respect and was a lot more qualified.

$24MM wasted here. $24MM wasted there. Pretty soon you're talking real money.

This image some of you have of Jerry running around throwing out Benjamins like Rip Taylor throwing confetti is hilarious.

Honestly, there's no point even talking about this, he's not going anywhere this year. Now, another horrible season, he's gone.

Why does anyone trust Jerry Jones to hire a suitable replacement if Garrett is fired? We're liable to end up with Houston Nutt.

Preferably someone whose resume in coaching is more than a paragraph long. Someone like Arians.

I don't disagree, but who's available that would be an upgrade worth $50+ million (Garrett buyout + new coaches contract)?

I'd love to go to the strip club with him. Those young hotties hanging around his pants aren't there because he's handsome.

It's called a fan forum. It's for giving opinions and talking about the team and coaches. Even if some of it are just dreams. Kind of like those fans that talk about JG being a great coach and making the SB.

Was that the case with campo as well?
