Drew Brees says he's not going anywhere, and neither is Saints head coach Sean Payton.

Brees appeared on NFL Network's NFL HQ on Tuesday morning and was asked if he sees any scenario in which he and head coach Sean Payton are not back in New Orleans next season.

"No, I don't," he said. "I think we -- a plan was put in place throughout last offseason as to how we were going to build a foundation by which to make a run at it in the future. That includes some new faces, that includes some young players that, I think, will all have a chance to come together and kind of build a team that can make a run at it in the future.

"Unfortunately, we had high expectations going into this year and we fell a bit short. But I'm confident with the character, the leadership, the talent we have."

Well, if Tony Romo can stay healthy, we gain back not only our best offensive player, but our best playcaller, too. We all know Romo erases a lot of the Garrett-Linehan lunacy.

Not saying he is leaving the Saints but I know he would never say he was with part of the season still left. Lots of things happen once the season is truly over. I will hold out hope he leaves and Jerry corrects his Garrett mistake.

Wait, Linehan sucks now too? 4 months ago he was a genius. Schooled Garrett on offense in 2014 with incredible play calling he learned in Detroit.

Payton might be going somewhere, but it will either be SD or Miami. Black Monday gonna be very black this year.

I'm sorry, I was distracted by Payton's Super Bowl ring. What were you saying?

Even more reason not to go that route, when was the last time a coach won superbowls with different teams? If we change HC, i would hope creative hungry OC that needs a shot.

Garrett wasn't going anywhere anyways. You know, it took Landry several years to get to the top too. Garrett is just like Landry, minus having to take over an expansion team. Oh and minus actual coaching talent.

But coach Landry couldnt come close to Red's calaping talent.
