The only way........and I mean the only way..........I would even consider bringing in Manzel if we absolutely have to go this route is if he agrees to the "Dez rules".

That means no alcohol, no gambling, no strip clubs, and 24 hour private security that follows him everywhere he goes. He does not take a piss without us knowing about it.

If he agrees to that, then maybe I consider a 1 year deal for league min with 0 guaranteed money. And I tell him that the first time he breaks the rules, he is gone with no questions asked.

That's my terms Johnny or Billy or whatever the hell your name is now.................take it or leave it.

Manziel hasn't been near good enough on the field to be worth the headache of having to keep an eye on him 24/7. He's a distraction and any little thing he does is going to take away from the play on the field. A 4-12 team doesn't need the problems he could potentially bring.

Mark my words whoever signs Manziel is going to end up dealing with a problem with him at some point it's in evitable. He's either going to be spotted at a bar somewhere or something else is going to happen where a team is going to have to answer to it.

Oh I agree bro, I would not bother but for some reason Jerry has a massive woody for Manziel so if we have to go this route, this would be my terms.

Jerry does which may lead to him bringing Manziel in. Jerry always thinks he can save a player this would be a big ego boost for him if he can turn Manziel's career around. Hopefully Steven can talk him out of it just like he talked him out of drafting him.

Stephan won't let it happen.

Ba dum tss!

That makes more sense than you wanting to use our 4th overall pick on a QB and bubblewrap him for a few years while Colt McCoy and Manziel battle it out for the backup job next season. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that line of thinking. lol

I don't care who drafted him, he's worthless as a human being and as a football player. Pass.

Lighten up Francis! I just thought your comment was funny. We can disagree on a subject and still be civil to one another.

At least I can.

I disagree that Jerry is in love with Manziel. the media wants desperately for this to be true, but I've never seen any indication of some sort of ongoing infatuation.

Jerry liked him coming out of college, but so did a lot of people. That doesn't mean Jerry is blind to the fact that the guy is worthless.

The whole Jerry just wants to sell jerseys thing is tired.

I took it as you're still peeved over the discussion we had. I've been civil throughout we had a disagreement which I tried to get you to move on from several posts back we were just wasting each others time. I don't take any of this personally and you shouldn't either it was merely a differing of opinion.

Exactly! I'm glad you feel the same way, no hard feelings, we just disagreed on that subject.

This video shows why Brandon Weeden is a better QB that Johnny Manziel. The Cowboys should've let Weeden throw deep all game.

Regardless of the QB the Cowboys have backing up Romo next season the offensive system is going to have to be tweaked allowing another QB to have some success. This Romo friendly system wasn't very friendly to our backups. The team is going to have to address the RB situation because an efficient running game that can move the chains in short yardage situations is going to be vital to having success with any QB. Being the worst team in the league on 3rd and one didn't help any of our QBs in 2015 even Romo was on pace to have a career high in INT's. Our backs averaged under 4.0 a carry in the opener forcing Romo to have to put the ball up 45 times carrying the offense to a win.

If you put any backup QB in a position where they have to win games you're going to end up in trouble. You have to have a consistent running game to lean on especially if you're playing with a short deck due to injuries at key positions. The teams that have gone a long way with backup QBs usually had a strong running game and a solid defense. Although the Cowboys had a lot of offensive issues with Romo out we still had the lead in several games that our defense couldn't protect. Three times the Cowboys had Atlanta down by 14 points and couldn't stop them.

In 2 OT games our offense never saw the field due to our defense not being able to keep the opposition out of the endzone on their first possession. Even with our backup QBs we had several opportunities to win games but our D couldn't make critical stops. Those who think if Romo stays healthy or we find a better backup QB the Cowboys will be back to winning 12 games again better take a closer look at the team. Some of the issues we saw in 2015 were a lot deeper than not having Romo or the play of our backup QBs. We went 1-10 with a couple of veteran QBs that had over 35 wins between them so anyone putting all the blame on our backup QBs didn't see the big picture in 2015.

If that was the norm for Weeden in Cleveland he would still be there. Go see how many plays like that you can find that's almost his entire highlight reel. He didn't have a Josh Gordon in Dallas he had an injured Dez Bryant who doesn't have the speed to beat anyone deep. Any deep ball you throw to Dez is going to be contested.

Actually, Weeden didn't have Dez at all this year.

I know Dez was out injured that's what I meant. Even a healthy Dez doesn't have the speed to beat a secondary deep like Gordon. Twill is a better deep threat than Dez.
