They don't have to eat a lot if DAL takes on the contract.
The Eagles would save 4m against the cap this year with no further hits.

DAL would restructure the deal to cover the 9m guaranteed left and take a cap hit of 2.5m in 2016.
If they cut DMC and his 2.1m cap hit the cost would be minimal and they could still draft a RB at any point.

Well since you put it that way, do the d@mn thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Murray is a one hit wonder if you ask me...his 1845 may seem impressive to some but to me it will always
be that fleeting moment of no team should ever have 1 above the other, take the 90's Cowboys, there is
a team that proved we didn't need a lot of "stats" in order to have success...everyone contributed their part
Aikman and Emmitt contributed a thousand yards a season, Irvin and Novacheck put in less sometimes more
but again everyone did their part

so why in the world do we want a guy who can't stay healthy, can't be consistent and can't be just a contributor?
I say let him stay in Philly we're better off without him

If jerry could swing a deal to get murray back I would be impressed !
I doubt it will happen though.
I think lurie fired chip over murray and wants to see a murray friendly offense.
Will find out this fall.

Hey guys, Murray told the media today that he looks forward to play with the Eagles and likes to be there. Why are we begging for him to come back? He made a decision. He chose not to play for the Cowboys. We have to get over it. He won't come back anymore and we don't need him to be successful. Move on.

They have gone on a spree with LJohnson, Ertz, Celek and VCurry and still have to pay Bradford and FCox.

those last two will be monster deals and by far the most important if they want be competitive at all next year. Its been long time since I said this but Dallas might have healthier cap situation than Eagles heading into season.

Are we falling into the trap of "trying to get the band back-together"?

Everybody wants to recreate the magic of the 2014 season.

The reality is every season is different, that will have been 2 years ago (which is a lifetime in the NFL) and all the same concerns the Cowboys had re: Murray are still there -- primarily the wear and tear.

Stay in Philly. These are not the types of RBs you're looking for. :jedi wave:

Wouldn't even want AP at this point unless he was a FA for cheapish. He has seen his better days and he is about as boneheaded as they come. Murray justifiably gets a lot of flack from his fumble against the Packers but I have no doubt that AP would've done the same.

Only backs I would be eager to make an investment in would be La'Veon Bell or Todd Gurley.

Yes, I agree...I wouldnt want us to make a more for AP, but if he was available I'd make a move.

Eh. Give me 24-year old Lamar Miller for 4-years $20 million. I think he's a younger, fresher, more talented (at this point) running back.

Totally agree, he's the only realistic option at RB IMO outside of using a draft pick on one of Elliott, Booker, or Collins
We desperately need a bellcow at RB. DMC had a great year but he's just not the real answer there.

Dez Bryant wants DeMarco Murray to 'come on home' to Dallas

http://www.foxsports.com/southwest/...marco-murray-to-come-on-home-to-dallas-020416

DeMarco Murray didn't have the success in his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles that he had with the Dallas Cowboys.

After reports surfaced that an unhappy Murray may be ready to leave Philly, Dez Bryant tweeted that he should come back to Dallas.

A season after he was the NFL's leading rusher (1,845 yards) with the Dallas Cowboys, Murray only had 702 yards with the Eagles in 2015.

I don't mind being the only one to like this.. hahah

I wonder if any other players thought dallas should have kept murray , I know Dez and Romo wanted him to stay.
I wonder if they all thought it was stupid to let the leading rusher go?

Yes, Dez would like Murray back and he also wants Greg Hardy to return as well. I seriously doubt he'll get his wish regarding either one of those two.

The Eagles organization is seriously committed to Murray financially, while Hardy is in Garrett's doghouse and just might have outworn his welcome.
