That contract is silly. Cole Beasley has that contract for muffing punts and showing up every 4 games.

To each his own, we'll see how deserving he is of a big contract after this year. Time will tell.

Well that's a selfish way of thinking. It's not just about you. It's about your family as well.you have to do what's best for them too.

What are you talking about, I said it's not always about money. I don't need to be filthy rich, it's not a contest. If my family needs something I get it, they want to go on vacation we go. I don't need to impress with a bank account. If I can provide and my family is happy then no need to take a job because it pays more.

Seems you have your priorities mixed up

Ok I stand corrected. Demarco did what 99.999999999% of what most people would've done.

How are my priorities messed up? Because I believe in generational wealth?

OK. Murray is now on his 2nd team since leaving the Cowboys. I think its time to quit discussing him or at least move this to the NFL Zone, isn't it? Oh well, to each his own.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...marco-murray-dallas-cowboys-disagree-on-value

At last check, Dallas had a four-year deal worth slightly more than $16 million on the table, according to Rapoport.

It's an insulting offer for a player who was saddled up to carry the team on his legs for the majority of the franchise's best season in nearly a decade.
You left out the rest of the quote:

On the other hand, it connotes an awareness of the NFL's ongoing devaluation of the position and the effects of a career-high 497 touches for a previously injury-prone tailback who was never viewed as a franchise workhorse. Last offseason, we highlighted the trend of established free-agent running backs getting paid like kickers and punters. The last two weeks have provided further evidence of the foolishness of dumping valuable resources into the position.

I will end this with. ...that's fine at 99 percent. I don't care if I'm the only one who thinks that way but please don't speak for me by saying 100 percent feel the same way.

Also I know many people that think the same as I do on the subject

maybe Eagles are on to something. Just sign bunch of FA and after year of seeing them play...trade who you don't like. This assumes teams still want to trade with Dallas.

I wonder what the cowboys offered ??
If Tenn only gave a 6th round pick, and picked up his salary, and maybe reworked the contract,
how could the cowboys not do that too? (phil ate the G money)
LOL ,were they being cheap again ?????????? !!!!!!!!!!

I am glad he got out of philly, any other team would be better, and now he is in AFC

They still paid Murray 9m and Maxwell 13m. Not exactly cheap. Plus they lose the Comp Pick game.

And we don't know what they got back yet.

Yes, the Titans and Eagles swapped picks in the 4th round, 13 spot difference.

Murray also got a new 4 year deal. He got no signing bonus and a guaranteed 6 mill base this season. He has a 6.25 mill base next year, 3 mill of which is guaranteed if he's still on the roster on the first day of the new league year.

The Titans are basically paying Murray 6 mill this season and can cut him next year before the league year with no dead money.
