Well the talks for Cleveland and Kaep have heated up. So, looks like Cleveland wont need Wentz. This will change our entire strategy IMO

No doubt Cleveland will be "open for business" if that happens, Dallas will have to trade up if they want Wentz,,,

Are we really trying to win now or build for the future? because to me honestly as i sit and really think about where we are and how far we got to go as a team taking personal feeling out of it, so if we are really trying to win now then in my mind we've already created a formula in todays game that worked for us and our team the way it is structured and thats the 2014 formula which is run more keep tony from having to make the plays all the time.. Elliot would seem to be the best bet imo because Elliott can score if he get to the open field which is something i look for now a days considering tony and taken some of the burden off him so much................

imo he can save Romo from himself and maybe he can play a whole 16 games (not banking on it tho).. so to me if we are being honest wouldnt Elliott be the best choice for us in the long run for win now mentality? because to me yea yea i understand u can find a good back in the later rounds but normally they are just that, good nothing special so the way i see it u got Dez here Beasley there whoever on outside hopefully and upgrade more consistent wr and an ELITE Oline with that kid behind it after seeing what he did to Alabama Def, which is the closest thing you'll see on a college level to an NFL Defense, he's rookie of the year in my opinion..........

Whats wrong with having an Elite type back behind this line because a good back is all he's gonna be most likely is just good why not have a potential top tier rb behind this really really good oline im thinking about win now (still got to get a lil better in pass blocking but they r developing) .. Because I'm sorry Bosa at 4 history tells me he's not gonna get sacks like that 1st year hardly any rookie pass rushers come out poppin in the NFL like that ........... so thats my question take feelings and ur pet cat and the # 4 pick out of it because to me ur no longer paying these top 10 picks 50 mill 40 mill contracts...

side note i am a fan of Henry so i wouldnt be to mad if we got Bosa (even tho im not a fan of Bosa) if you can guarantee we will getrb Henry in 2nd or end of round 1 cause i think he would be really good in our system too.... thats the only way id agree with that if we are trying to win now

sorry for the long post when i got to typing so much of my reasons of why i feel like this came out and i wanted to be clear where im coming from as an overall just want to know how do yall feel about it

Both you have alot of young guys mixed with some vets,

Why?

If Cleveland trades their 3rd for Kaepernick, no way they draft Wentz. That team has way too many holes to use two of their top 3 picks on a QB. The only other team ahead of us that may consider a QB would be SD but I have not seen many projecting them as wanting a QB. IF the Browns trade for Kaepernick, I would assume the top 3 picks will be Bosa, Tunsil and Ramsey....Wentz is going to fall in our laps.

Gurley was superhuman last year and the Rams averaged 0.3 PPG more than the Weeden/Cassel/Moore trainwreck. Running Backs may win fantasy football leagues but it doesn't translate to the real scoreboard.

I'm wondering if a Kaepernick trade doesn't involve a swap of first round draft picks? If the 49'ers move him, they'll definitely be in the market for a quarterback and I don't think they would want to risk being out of the running at #7.

Cleveland could get their quarterback and still have a top 10 pick to fill another need.

it's a third round pick that is involved. All predicated on Kaep willing to restructure his contract.

"open for business" meaning they would be open to trading their 2nd overall to anyone looking to leapfrog Dallas,,,

How long have people been saying we need a good 1T DT? Why did it take our FO having to take a beating to come to this realization ?

A good example of the reactionary nature of the "rebuilding plan"

There is no real plan at all

This is how I view the FO, Manning won the SB at 38 yoa, so Jerry announces that Romo is good for 4-5 years and will get him his ring. If Cam had won the SB, Jerry would be doing everything possible to draft Cardale Jones, and be proclaiming how he is going to be the next Cam Newton.

In Marinelli's version, the 1T is not a pass rusher. His role s to occupy two OL and give the 3T a chance to win his 1-on-1 battle with the other OG. The reason the Thornton signing is a plus is because of his ability to play the LDE as well. Otherwise, he's a 1-down player. Dallas plays nickel - with two 3T DTs - 85% of 2nd and 3rd downs.

This. The fascination with the 1 technique player amazes me. It is a limited role in a 4-3. I guess people talk about it because they want to demonstrate their knowledge.

Yeah that's crazy but I wouldn't blame them for taking Ramsey 1.

meh....I like Ramsey a LOT but at number 1 overall? I dunno man. I think it's smoke...the Titans REALLY need to hit on a quality Left Tackle at this point because Lewan has been ultra inconsistent.

The Cowboys aren't willing to pay age at the RB position. If Zeke was a transcendent talent like AD when he came out they'd consider him at 4 no doubt. Zeke is not.

QFT....he's a rugged, talented, straight ahead guy. He will NOT be dominant in the NFL IMO. Not unless he's running behind a very good line. Just not enough wiggle. His size and physical nature are great in CFB but as most of Alabama's RB's have proved....it doesn't translate to the NFL

Same with RBs from Ohio State and Wisconsin.

I get it - last season sucked, but next season already has 2 major upgrades. A healthy Tony & Dez (+ Scandrick). Maybe we aren't a 12-4 lock, but bringing them back should make us the favorites in our division.

Whoever we draft is just icing on the cake. I personally think the offense will give opposing DC's enough headaches. Now we need to concentrate on the D.
A healthy Tony & Dez (+ Scandrick)....... they had all 3 of these guys during the 8-8 years.
