So I was watching the broadcast today, and I wanted to smack the **** out of Mickey. They were discussing the failure to do anything about the backup QB spot.
Mickey kept going on how they were not going to over pay for Matt Moore or anyone else. 2 million for 3 years ... The host kept saying they need to do something and Mickey kept overriding him. Wanted to reach thru my computer and smack the**** outa him ! Saying they would go with Kellen Moore, and a draft pick. Kept waiting for a caller, a tweeter, someone to bring up the point that Moore was the starter at the end of the season when Jerry said that they failed in adequately addressing the backup QB spot. And that was a priority this off season. That the team would not be handicapped by that again.
Yet Mickey was making out that Kellen was an upgrade over Matt, and that was the upgrade.
Duh ! It's the same player your owner said they needed to upgrade from !!! (As well as Weeden and Cassel).
He is such a shill.

I used to listen to those shows have stopped its mostly nonsense.

I think you misunderstood some of what Mickey said. Matt Moore wanted guaranteed money (2.75 guaranteed with Miami). If the cowboys give him that then he would be handed the backup spot. Linehan believes Kellen Moore can be the backup and wants to give him that opportunity. So that can't happen if they guarantee Matt and then draft a qb in the draft.

So often, he makes it impossible to listen to that show. And his 'articles' aren't any better.

And Mickey keeps referring that the qb (if we take at #4) isn't Aikman. If he is, then take one. lol if HE WAS Aikman, he wouldn't be taken at #4, but #1 overall. We'd have no shot regardless. And why does any qb have to be compared to Aikman? Mickey is fine with taking rb Elliott at #4, but he never says "he isn't Emmitt Smith." Or he has to be as good as Emmitt.

Right or wrong, Micky usually makes a good point. The reactions against him are because he has such low regard for the usual fan overreactions and not a response to anything specific he actually says.

It's LITERALLY in Mickey's contract that he can't say anything negative about the Cowboys. That's what he told my brother, who's hung out with him several times. I've met him several times. Nice guy. But I can't listen to him speak about the Cowboys.

Brad Sham is SUPER cool. I love that guy.

Mickey's pretty hard in the defense for a guy who contractually can't say anything bad. And, like all of us, he's got players he definitely doesn't like.

maybe the cowboys as a team had taken advantage of a couple opportunities and went to a super bowl and has won consistently the last six years there fans wouldn't be so negative towards them
