Dude is primed for a bounce back year behind arguably the best oline in the NFL. A steal!

I disagree.

His only success was in the read-option offense, which is useless here. If he was a difference maker, he wouldn't be just sitting there for anybody to take, and Washington would have had more interest.

He's a guy.

No reason he can't post up between 800-1,200 yds...

Well, seeing that McFadden had > 1000 yards in only about 11 games (so a 1400 yard pace), I think 1200 would be pretty standard if the work load is there.

If he is used CORRECTLY, he is the perfect lead back for this team. Someone who will chew up clock and eat carries on first and 2nd down. I live 20 mins from Commanders Park...so I know the team and personnel pretty well for a rival fan. McFadden would be better off playing a couple of series and on 3rd down. This will protect Romo from injuries and protect the defense. Love this move!

And no I am not saying this guy is Adrian Peterson type power/explosion. Or Barry Sander type of shiftiness. But think an Emmitt Smith "type" RB. He runs well inside. Falls forward. Runs low to the ground. Consummate professional. If healthy, the RB corps just got better.

Lastly, did not look up his "numbers". I don't need to. I have seen him play a LOT. So I know what we are getting.

Thank you. It's this simple really but people are making it so complicated.

I like the pick up and potential Morris shows. I know, many think he is a backup. And they may very well be right.

But, I caught a few Commanders games last year..... And I remember thinking to myself, "Morris looks crisp, tuff, fast.... these other guys getting the rock must be pretty good...."

But that's just my impression. Just 4/5 games over the season(2 were against the Boys), watching from the TV.

Not to cause any controversy but how is Morris just a guy but Dunbar is Special amongst Zoners. Morris is a way better backup than Dunbar even though he has some limitations. A steady player who is always available is more important than a "Potentially Special" player who it seems is never available.

I think if you read around, a lot of people would have passed on resigning Dunbar. Many don't see anything special in him.

Well, Dunbar is the fastest player on the team and was off to a great start last year.

Morris is slow and unremarkable in every way, other than he does have ability in short yardage.

Isn't Butler is the fastest guy on the squad now?

Give him 25-30 carries a game and he is a top 3 running back in rushing yards.

That's highly possible behind our line. My focus when they hit the field will be on how they utilize this stable of RBs. I still have zero confidence that our offensive brain trust can strategically use the RBBC setup in an equitable fashion... So we'll see.
