I'd much rather grab anyone in the top 5 than to drop for just an extra top 50 pick.

You can do a lot of damage with #15, #33, and #64 on top of your existing 2nd and 3rd rounders. That would have a much more positive impact on the roster than Ramsey or Buckner or whomever. Besides, if you really want to get clever, throw in Leary and see if you can turn the Titans 3rd rounder into #45.

It's absolutely not dumb if you view the draft as being more deep than filled with studs at the top, which many people are saying. We don't even really need Tunsil, he'd be a luxury at this point.

So if I can trade the 4th pick and end up with 2 more second rounders this year and maybe even a 3rd, that's a big win for this franchise.

There is no way the Titans, or any team for that matter, would trade two or three 2nd rounders this year AND then next year's #1 to go from 15 to 4. It's a pipe dream.

A fair deal would be getting the 15th and then two of their three second rounders.
that's not what's being reported. You're injecting your own value. The report said for a 2nd and 3rd only. That's moving down and potential!y missing out on a def difference maker for just an extra top 50 pick. No thank you, I need more than just that 1 top 50 pick.

It starts there with me. It's a non starter for just those two. I'd want all 3 SECONDS if I can't get the Rams 2017 first, PERIOD!

Yep. Basically, it would cost them an additional second over dealing with Dallas.

Yup, if the Titans want Tunsil they're going to have to trade into the 3 to 5 slots because the Ravens will surely select him at 6. So they have a very tiny window with which to operate. Acquiring Dallas' selection at 4 would be cheaper than SD's and would block any potential move up by Baltimore to position itself to draft Tunsil.

LT is a premium position. Maybe not as valuable as a QB, but you don't trade out of the top 5 and drop 11 spots for just an extra 2 Picks, Period! It'd be the dumbest trade since Mo.

LOL..... I'm not laughing at you. I'm just thinking to myself, "Dumbest Trade Since Mo" and I'm thinking, that wasn't all that long ago.

And you said you would only do it for 2 second rounders and then next year's #1.

That ain't happening.

If you mean, let them keep the two 2nds and just accept next years 1st?
They'd be thrilled to give us that, so you'd have a deal.

I am saying I want their 1st this year (#15) and their 1st next year (probably top 5) and maybe 4th. For that they can have Tunsil.

You aren't getting all 3 seconds and you aren't getting 2 seconds and next year's #1 either.

I agree 100%, except I'm not sure who our stud is at #4.

Me either, but I'm damn sure staying put if that's all they re offering with all the Picks they have. That 2016 3rd rounder is a joke!

A first rounder next year would be totally fair. You'd have to consider that too if they offered, but there's no way they're giving up high second rounders on top of that just to move up 750 points on the chart.

You could get all three seconds and the Titans' 3rd rounder, but they'd keep their first.

Maybe if you got lucky. But while the value chart isn't totally accurate, it also gives a gauge to how lopsided a trade could or couldn't be.

#15, #33, #43, #45 and #64 would be such a lopsided trade for the Cowboys that there's no chance in the world Tennessee would do that.

Again, if the phone rang and that's all they offered were those two Picks, ID hang up quickly. If they want to start talking 2 seconds including 33 we can chat. Falling 11 for only that one extra top 50 AINT worth it!

I wouldn't be heart broken, but given the king's ransom other teams have given up to move to a spot and get their guy, I'd want more than that. The problem with 15 is you are now out of the area of getting a true top guy.

Let me ask this, if make that trade, would Jax take the 15 and the 2nd and 3rd from us for their pick? I bet they'd want more. So if it's not enough for Jax, why would it be enough for us?

Curiosity got the best of me on those trades, so I broke the trades down based on chart value and was quite surprised. Basically, neither the Rams nor the Eagles gave up a King's ransom if you go strictly by the trade chart. In fact, both teams came out ahead. Here's the breakdown:
TItans give: 2016 #1 = 3000 pts
#113 = 68 pts
#177 = 19 pts (3087 total points)

Titans receive: 2016 #15 = 1050 pts
#43 = 470 pts
#45 = 450 pts
#76 = 210 pts
2017 1st round = 430 pts (value of 2016 mid 2nd round)
3rd round = 72 pts (value of 2016 mid 4th round) (2682 total points)

Bottom line, LA Rams came out 405 points ahead in the deal.

Following same methods as above, Eagles came out 427 points ahead (received 2634, gave 2207).

I have a feeling, though, that the further down you go to trade, the more the deals will stay true to the draft chart values.

I like it, but wish it wasn't #15.

Dallas could trade back up though.

Then they don't get Tunsil. With the fourth pick, the Cowboys select...

Great. Then in a draft that you could use a few players, you take a guy in Tunsil that you probably don't really need or a DE in Bosa that scouts question whether or not is nothing more than a solid but non-elite DE.

I'd rather take their 43rd and 45th picks on top of 15 and really add some talent to my team.

Don't forget, the Titans know that we aren't taking Tunsil, so its not like we can hold their feet to the fire. They can work a deal with Jacksonville who picks behind us, and save themselves some value on the draft chart. If we hold them to #15 and both 2nd rounders, they will try to make a deal with Jacksonville for 15, and a 2nd rounder, and a 3rd rounder, and Jacksonville may very well do it, since they have a helluva lot more holes to fill than we do.
