When the starting receivers on your team are ...

Rishard Matthews
Tajee Sharpe
Kendall Wright
Harry Douglas
Andre Johnson

And your traded a year after you were a 2nd round pick?? Enough said. Let's not act like this guy was traded from Green Bay, Arizona or Pittsburgh.

All true, but if you are the Eagles and are desperate for WR help, why not take a chance on a high ceiling, problem child that you hope you can turn around a bit?

All they gave up was a terrible OT that they can probably find on the street when teams start making camp cuts.

It's a clear win for the Eagles IMO at this point. yeah, he might not work out but they gave up slop to take a chance on a uber talented kid.

Ok here's an argument. This guy was about 6th or 7th on their depth chart and got beat out by a rookie. Tennessee has no faith in him because he's lazy and doesn't work on his game. Does anyone remember Christine Michael? 2nd round high prospect pick for a 5th rounder? Didn't work in Dallas because surprise surprise his character concerns transferred over.

These people are on the trade block for a reason

Tennessee is a trash organization with a terrible GM, and it's the GM who has been saying these things. Not the coaches. And despite this kids supposed "laziness", he was the most productive receiver in Tennessee last year with a revolving door at QB due to injuries. He has high upside, Leary doesn't, the trash the Titans got does not.

It was a bad trade. It was a "message" from a terrible GM. Period.

no offense but glad you're not the one calling the shots...Leary would "most likely" be a pro bowler or in the conversation if he was starting...DGB can't even make the Titans team who has narry a legit number one on their roster..dude is not worth Leary let alone a draft pick at this point and he isn't even better than what is already here.

Dude has some kind of issues. Supposedly he showed up to camp overweight and got demoted. He has also has a very checkered history.

Yes Eagles got great value but the Titans are obviously ridding themselves of a problem for minimal compensation.

"DGB"? lol Let's just call him by his full name until he proves to be an above average player.

But anyways the Eagles still don't have a number 1 WR... or a number 2 for that matter

I agree as far as Leary but he's not making the probowl on the bench and when he and twill walk next year those will be two holes to fill instead of one. Dgb would be locked up for three more years and a 4th or 5th round pick would help for depth next season.
The Titans also had complete garbage on offense last year and he would probably produce more than twill in our already established offense. He is a huge target too

It says a lot to me that the Titans have already pulled the plug on a second round pick after a little over a year. And they traded him for a lineman who got destroyed in the Eagles' first preseason game. And Philadelphia is trading away their backup RT despite the fact that Lane Johnson is set to be suspended for 10 games.

Two players that their current teams couldn't wait to be rid of, swapped out for one another.

He absolutely would not produce better than Williams in our offense, he's not even better than Butler. The Titans didn't trade him because they were desperate to get a swing tackle, they were desperate to get him off the team. Yes he is a huge talent, but when has he actually produced with that talent? He's worth the risk for the Eagles because they have no wide receivers and are a bad team. Dallas is actually playing for the division this year.

You never know who is going to make it and who doesn't. Something was wrong there to give up on such a young player and a recent second round pick. It is obviously not a great indicator on DGB.

DGB has never really lived up to the hype of being the best player in his high school class. He was good as a freshman but not earth shattering before leaving. The reports at OU were good but he never got on the field before declaring for the draft. He was ok as a rookie for being so raw.

He certainly has the measurables but it is a red mark when a team gives up on such a high draft pick and a guy who has all the physical talent so fast.

Probably is not worthy of a trading away a draft pick or a player the caliber of Leary. His level should be based on field performance and he doesn't measure up to Twill to this point. He may be "more" talented but he hasn't demonstrated it and can't even beat out four very average WRs on the titans roster. He clearly doesn't get it if they are already giving up on him; in my opinion.
