Add it to the list with DT, DE, LB and CB if they don't re-sign Claiborne/Carr. It's going to take 3 drafts to fix the defense if they continue to basically ignore FA.

If it takes too long we'll need to reload the offense by then. We see teams turn it around much quicker than we've seen here. Wonder why?

Ignoring FA even at the depth/solid starter point and bad drafting after Rd 1. I'm not even sure 3 years is enough, because we've been talking about fixing it for 3 years already and have gotten less depth/quality starters in that time period than we had before that. I'm not sure what the answer is until something changes organizationally.

Hard to say if T-Will's goose is cooked or not but I can easily envision Dallas taking a WR in the next draft in about a mid-rounder or so.
He might have been psychologically wounded by that gaff vs. New York in game one. He was definitely bombarded with harsh criticisms following his catastrophic brain fart at the end of that contest. I'm hoping we'll find a speedy WR with great hands in the 2017 draft.

He'll most likely end up in a place like Seattle and we'll see him making clutch plays in the playoffs.

I said this after 2014, but it was never going to make sense to re sign him. Either he continued improving and priced himself out of our market, since we already had too much of our cap devoted to the offense (the line, dez and romo) and needed to spend on defense, or he regressed and we'd likely not be interested. Well, he regressed and while I could see him testing free agency and deciding he's better off taking a team friendly deal in Dallas, I think he'd likely get more than we were willing to offer from some team with a stable QB and in need of a #2 WR.

I'm a T Will fan. I must confess I'm a Baylor alumni so I have a personal agenda in wanting him to succeed. But his brainfart against the Giants appears to have been the final nail in his coffin. I'd like to see him still receive more opportunities .

During our 2014 Playoff run, T-Will stepped up. Since then....not so much. Either he's dropping balls or not running out of bounds.

Unless he really blows up the remainder of this year I'd imagine this is a definitely gone situation.

If he goes out and plays out of his mind the remainder of the year maybe he sticks, but even then I doubt it because it would wind up being to rich for the Cowboys to take on at that point.

Exactly. I can't stand the guy, but can you imagine what it'd be like if we'd added Desean Jackson when he came available a few years ago? With Dez and the TEs and Elliott...you couldn't cover everybody.
