Tell you what. The club should have franchised his *** and if the team did'nt win in 2 years (now) let this overpaid, overhyped turkey walk (fly). The club gave him way too much money and he will never earn it. He has always been deeply flawed.
You're right and i think the club tried but he held out. Then they began negotiations and he wanted more and more. You should read how much outrage there was on the zone for jerry messing with Dez's money. Roc Nation money money!

Dez is like a giant baby who runs fast and catches a lot of footballs. This is what you get with him. It's annoying, but it's not really that much of a big deal in the scheme of things with the exception of the hurdle it posed for him coming up to speed in the offense.
If only he caught as many as he seems to drop

I'm a Dez fan. He's a great player, and probably my 2nd favorite on the team (under Witten). But let's not act like the dude is NOT a whiny little kid. He is a diva. I talked to David Wells a good hour in St. Louis in 2014, and he told me a lot of stories. Also, Dez will be broke qithin 5 years of retirement.

Who paid for that hour? You or him?

There was no bait or trap lol. I don't get it.......I asked a simple question and i'm getting denied? Ouch lol. You said this was not suppose to be happening under Garrett despite Dez being here prior to Garrett. All of the headaches like Hardy, McClain.........clearly moves Jerry wanted in here.
Yes..clearly.

Garrett was supposed to create a new culture and accountability for the team.

He's a smart guy from Princeton.

But he has taken a position for too long of being Jones' puppet.

I had higher hopes with Stephen Jones..but he is right in there too.

Its a tough business the NFL. We still have not figured out how to win in the salary cap era.

Our last success was in the mid-90's at the time the cap was installed..

but we constantly do the same thing..

our cap is maxed out again..

we have $35 mil tied up in Romo and Dez neither of whom play healthy anymore.

This was like at the end of the 90's era when we had tons of dead cap with Deion,Troy and Irvin and Smith.

But the difference is we had 3 World Champion ships to show for it.

With Romo..we have 2 playoff wins in 10 years.

You do the math.

Thats why to me unless we make the change immediately to DAK and start immediately to remove Romo and his dead money and rework Dez's deal as he is not performing to his deal..

we will never rebuild the defense in time to win.

Not before we lose some of the OL and Witten retires and several of our RBs are gone.

We are losing too much time unless we really change..

thats my opinion.

Is this a better answer for you?

He seemed to be a lot more durable before the new contract, dude cant play more than 2 or 3 games in a row without getting hurt now...........................just an observation, read into it what you want.

Yes, signing the contract suddenly made his bones weaker and break. There is some stupid in this thread. It's getting bad.

Dez had his fair share of injuries or dings here and there before his contract. His rookie year, he went out half way through the season. Missed a game in 2011, also had conditioning problems. Was knocked out of an important game in 2012 with an injury. 2013 and 2014 were his healthiest years in the league, and we all know the story last season (Broken bones happen, has nothing to do with signing a dang contract)

The bigger story here is why Dez chose to miss team meetings and be so late for the scheduled MRI. I'm guessing the player and team are at odds on how the injury is/will be handled. I don't think Dez simply overslept or chose to just skip meetings/MRI. I think Dez is pleading his case that he can play and the doctors/team are saying no.This could be a major story up until the inactive lists are known Sunday afternoon.

I hope everyone who is calling for Dez to be "held accountable" knows he already has. He was fined.

It's over. Move on. Or complain. It is of no consequence.

Have we heard all sides of this story, why do we bail on one of our players without all the facts. Let's give him credit for playing injured and not bailing on his team. That's all, nothing more.
My immediate thought was he sought a medical diagnosis from outside before seeing what team doctors had to say. His foot injury was more severe than the team Dr suggested, he came back earlier than he should have and suffered a season ending setback last year.

Yeah, not getting the MRI done is the way to find out what is going on with the injury

I swear the excuses people make for this guy are crazy

I think most of it schtick or trolling.....we are 2-1 with a terrible pass rush and the solution is to get rid of Dez for a 4th rounder lol.

I swear the negative assumptions people make are crazy.

I don't pretend to absolutely know what's going on i simply gave my first thoughts of why he missed the MRI. Believe what you want to Believe. Doesn't make your outlook no more valid or correct than mine.

Did you say Facts?
You have facts now?
Of course you don't.

Yeah, they're right in front of you, presented by people whose job it is to report about the team. But it's bad news so you can't handle it. And rather than channeling your rage on the player who created all the problems, you prefer to shoot the messenger and ignore the tru culprit responsible.

Again, if this stuff is false, and nothing more than made up lies like you claim, the team and player will quickly act to dispute them. What will you then grasp for when that doesn't happen?
