Next year is Collins contract year correct? Well there it is, he doesn't need to play right now

Collins may well be the future, but we shouldn't pull Leary who's playing really well. If they just insist on him starting, would rather see him at RT replacing Free.

Agree with this, and this is what I hope they experiment with in the off season. Could you imagine if he becomes a great RT, and we have a line of Smith/Leary/Fredricks/Martin/Collins? Wow.

Yeah we can talk about it right now, but really we won't know anything til the offseason. First we need to know if we will be resigning Leary to even see if the move is required for Collins. Hopefully we can get a feel and see if Collins can actually make the move before we make a decision to resign Leary.

Is there any indication they are thinking of benching Leary?

I expect a press conference from Collins telling the media that Leary is the starter now. /s

And then Linehan saying that Dak Prescott could be a lights out Guard if he added 30 pounds.

I've had the feeling Tyrone Crawford has played better than his stats but I don't have the All-22 and lately haven't even had the time to rewatch the Tivo version of the game. But I do get the sense that our DL would be OK next year without a huge FA addition, if we just added a situational edge rusher like Gregory or Mayowa was supposed to be.

Rue'ing Gregory (and Hardy) so much, Kaiser. Imagine a Hardy that bought into the program <drools>

Exactly, think about the Patriots game were Hardy dominated and had opposing OL developing "Larry Allen Disease" and faking injuries to get out of facing him.

I still think the issue with Hardy was that the media circus got so intense that he cracked. And he clearly still hasn't gotten his act back together.

If I'm coaching this team, I just keep Collins in my back pocket in case he's needed for any reason. I think he's an easy candidate to replace Looney in some of those formations where we bring in an extra lineman.

I wouldn't mess with the continuity of a line in which Leary will have started 80-plus-percent of the season.
