Going for it on 3rd and 2 while in FG range on our first drive was a good decision. They're expecting the run and you go deep. I like that call. The bad decision was settling for the FG on 4th and 2.

I agree that the call on Butler was ridiculous. Didn't know that it hadn't been called since 1984. Makes it even more ridiculous and gives the conspiracy theorists something to feed on.

You forgot about our third drive. Dak made a beautiful throw to Williams on 3rd down that would've set us up in great position and Williams dropped it when he tried to body catch it. I'm more upset with Williams over that than Butler in the previous drive.

I certainly didn't expect the season we got this season once Romo went down. For the first time in a very long time I'm actually excited about seasons to come. It appears we are more than a one man show now.

I turned off the game last night thinking, dang Rogers is a beast and just handed us this loss. Then I looked over stats...

Dak went toe to toe with Rogers and you could argue, out played him.

D got it handed to them though right? So then I went and looked over the drives that put them in the 21-3 hole.


1st D drive - 3 points - threw deep on 3rd and 2 - key play

1st GB drive, went right through D, scored 7 - too many on field key play - legit calls (still think spot was generous on run play before, should have been 3rd and 6.) Legit drive though

2nd D drive - key play, a call that hasn't been made since 1984....NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR. Doesn't fit rule either...huge field swap...key play. Ref aided drive - likely atleast a FG

2nd GB drive - went down our throats - legit drive

3rd D drive - nada

3rd GB drive - key play...crap call on illegal hands to face. Was gonna be a punt. - penalty aided score

Score should have been at worst 14 - 6...possibly 14-10

Then to end half - non PI call, not once but twice in the end zone. - penalty aided points taken away. Could have easily been 17-14 dallas at half.

Throw in the PI call later for GB and the none holding call on them on the last play.

Huge point altering calls - that majority would say we're BS.

That's how they lost this game...terrible.

Because cowboys are so hated no one wants to hear it..just that A rodgers is a god.. This loss sucks!

yes he did. he threw away this year's playoff run. i'm disgusted.

i'm reminded of seattle vs new england super bowl. the hawks had all the momentum and just handing it off to lynch would have won it. however, they got cute. they overthought it, just like garrett.

The Butler business was just that. Mc Carthy did his homework, unlike the idiot Garrett, and knew that the Cowboy coaches would make that mistake over and over and before the game complained to the officials and pointed this Cowboy coaching defect out and then just waited for it to happen. This is why Garrett needs to go. Its these simple little details that he never understood and why the good coaches beat him in every big game he coaches.

My bro...I can see you don't like Garrett! For someone who preaches details and processes, he sure did mess up the substitutions. Man how can you not know that's what Rogers likes to do?

In fact why don't we do that to other people? Or on the last field goal, why didn't we try that hurdling play that people think is bush league. Screw it, hurdle the center and make the refs call it or not call it.

If you want to say that the refs consistently let GB's OL get away with murder you will have no beef from me -- they held Olivier Vernon on nearly every play the week before. No flags.

A perfectly designed and executed play.

Cook lined up on the right and jogged (yes jogged) across the entire field with the defense in front of him, positioning himself between the deep guys and the under guys. Rodgers opens right and spins back left and the blocking ensures he gets out of the pocket. The guard pulled and would have blocked the DE if needed, but he was sucked inside, so he was there to get a piece of Durant who was our spy and made a B line for Rodgers once he escaped the pocket.

Just as Cook had a perfect view of our defenders as he crossed over to that side of the field, Rodgers had a perfect view of Cook's line and speed as he entered the target area at whatever depth needed to have a shot.

Execution? No need to discuss that....perfect throw, perfect catch.

I'd like to know the specifics of the Butler situation. He clearly went on the field due to the personnel or play call. Did he mishear it? Did someone send him back off? Did coaches send someone else in to swap with him? Also, why wasn't that a penalty when he left the field and went to the sideline? If the penalty is about joining the huddle (what huddle?) and then not staying for the play, why wasn't the flag thrown when he left the field? Why allow us to run a play with a big gain and then throw the flag for standing on the sideline? I'm sure there are clear answers to all of this....I just don't know what they are.

They couldn't say he didn't participate in the play until there was a play is my guess. Truth is there was no huddle, so really, it was just another creative middle finger to Dallas, that's it.

That, right there. Why is 3rd and 2 always a passing situation? We don't even pretend we're going to run most of the time. Zeke shifts out wide and he's not even there for a fake, much less a handoff. I don't get it.

If I'm our opponent I'm relieved to see the Cowboys spread out on 3rd and 2. I'll take my chances with a pass there all day long.
