I just watched all of the plays where Terrelle Pryor was the target in 2016.

He is an interesting developing player. He only started playing WR in 2016.
He now has 67 receptions for 877 yards.

He ran a 4.36 forty while measuring in at 6'4-1/2", 232 pounds. He is now listed at 223 pounds.

In regards to the review:
He can definitely get open. He is good at finding opens spot against zone defenses, getting his feet in bounds on sideline catches and running slants and comebacks. He can be used on gadget plays because of his speed and agility. They throw him a lot of those Smoke routes where he catches it at the line and uses his athletic ability to gain some yards after the catch. He would likely be good on those Jet Sweeps where the Cowboys have been using Lucky Whitehead.

He needs work on catching contested balls and inaccurately thrown balls. He tends to let DBs steer him out too close to the sidelines on long go routes.

It was somewhat difficult to evaluate him due to the Cleveland QBs being inaccurate and often being late on their throws.

He is not far enough along in his development that I would expect him to get a big contract, but as with most free agents the Cowboys might have to overpay a little to get him. He will likely want to get out of Cleveland.

I think he could be better but cheaper than TWilliams as the #2 outside WR for the Cowboys in 2017.

Doubt he will be cheaper. Everyone seems very complimentary of him and teams would be willing to pay high #2 salary for a guy that could legitimately be couple years away from being a true #1 WR.

Interesting. Seems like he might to worth a look. The Cowboys need help in that area.

I'm trying to find another Rishard Matthews type player on the verge of breaking out. I wanted Dallas to sign him last year before the Titans did. Tennessee got him for 3 years, $15 million which now looks like a steal.

He's not going to sign someplace to be a 3rd option and WRs get overpaid. Travis Benjamin, also a former Brown coming off his rookie deal, signed with San Diego last year for 4 yr / 24 mil and $13 mil guaranteed. The floor is likely a couple million above that for Pryor. Pryor is going to be paid like a #1 WR.

The High ROI guys at WR that I see are:

Cordarrelle Patterson (MIN) - Finally started to show some ability to run more than a go route, as well as more consistent hands. One of the best returners in the league, with 5 KO returns for TDs in 4 years, including runs of 109, 104, and 101. Also a very good blocker. Turns 26 in March. Our WR coach was his college coach.

Kenny Stills (MIA) - Only a 50/50 hands guy and up-n-down consistency but a deep threat who does more with what he gets than T Williams. Put up 9 TDs in 2016 and 17 yard average on 42 catches. Seems easily distractible like Beckham. Turns 25 in April.

And honestly I think Brice Butler is would be a big bargain for us. He and Dak seem to be on the same page. Kinda feels like he sees football as a means to something else, kind of like Marty B had a bunch of irons in the fire, but we're talking about the 3rd or 4th option really.

Stills is a guy I have my eye on to see where his market ends up. I think his speed element would be a nice add to our current offense and he's still young and improving.

i like the patterson kid. he is kinda buried on a team with multiple WRs.
new team and ability to earn playing time might be the trick for him to breakout.

The draft is the only way to go for WR #2,use FA money on Defense.

I agree, #2 WRs on the open market will cost $8-12 million per and considering the amount of touches allocated to Elliot, Dez, Witten, Beasley I can't see any WR being worth that much to us. Ideally we get a guy early in the draft with deep speed that can be a #2 early on and *maybe* develop into a #1 as Dez ages.

As a Giants fan, YES PLEASE. Would love to see that locker room cancer in Big D. Can't see the Jones boys being that stupid, though.

He's supposedly a headcase, not sure if he's worth it.
I've heard the same about him.
The good thing is our number 2 has been invisible for so long that we wouldn't need him to be a franchise type of receiver...
His talent and physical tools sure are interesting and could really make our offense dangerous.
