If they were to move hypothetically speaking, it'll make it easier for me to follow them if they keep name and the uni (a la the la/ st. Louis Rams).

I was born and raised, and still live in the DFW metroplex. I would be very unhappy about it,but would still support them.

I'm not from Dallas, so I'd be disappointed but not devastated. I'd definitely keep following them.

Speaking of moving teams how bout this for the AFC?
It will never happen...yes I know.

Miami to the South....just like Tampa Bay and Jacksonville are nuff said.
Baltimore to the East...Baltimore used to be in the east so just put them back.
Indianapolis to the North...Indianapolis is more north than Cincinnati so it works.
NFC and AFC West looks good to me. Dallas is like cemented in the NFC East for all eternity.

East
New England
New York
Buffalo
Baltimore

West
Denver
Kansas City
San Diego
Oakland

North
Pittsburgh
Cincinnati
Cleveland
Indianapolis

South
Houston
Tennessee
Jacksonville
Miami

:)

They could move to KCK, Wichita, Oklahoma City, Des Moines, St. Louis, and I would be thrilled.

It wouldn't have a huge impact for me really since I am not local to Dallas. I would prefer they not move farther away though as I consider them within driving distance, but at the edge of what is reasonable.

Well the Cowboys lost a Heartbreaker last week. We are all trying to get over the loss and look forward. I am very hopeful of what the future brings.

Speaking of the future, I had hypothetical question: Would you still follow the Cowboys if they moved to a different state? I ask because my Charger fan cousin just had his heart ripped out. He won't cheer for a team associated with L.A.

It's never going to happen. 110 percent not possible. Curious more than anything else.
Since I live in the Midwest, and I always have, and given the fact that I've always been a Cowboys fan, Yes I would still be a Cowboys fan. :D

Really? You'd still be a fan of the New Jersey Cowboys?

Has nothing to do with where you live. There's something distinctly "Texas" about the Cowboys, and it's not the same if they are the Providence Cowboys.
Yup, at that point they'd pretty much need to change the name of the team too. The 49ers too, you can't move the 49ers out of California and keep the name "49ers", it wouldn't make any sense.

Imagine the Washington Texans or something... :lmao2:

Might as well ask what you would do if the sun suddenly started coming up in the west.

That would be bizarre. Never really thought about it. I would root for them in they moved here. The Omaha Cowboys. Sounds weird, but, oh well.

Dak and Zeke have made this team likeable again so I'd still be a fan.

Prior to this year, it's hard to say.

But I think "Dallas" is just as important to the brand. Dallas isn't a marquee city or anything, but it's like if you took the packers out of Green Bay. It just doesn't have the same appeal anymore.

The Packers used to play half their home games in Milwaukee.

I don't have any type of connection to the Dallas Metroplex; however, if the Cowboys left the Dallas area they would stop being the same franchise to me. It may still have some of the same faces, but the franchise would be starting over. If they were the San Antonio Cowboys I wouldn't feel the same ways about them as I do now. They have a long, storied history as the Dallas Cowboys. That is what I know. A different city would mean a different franchise to me. I may still root for them if I liked the actual team, but I wouldn't necessarily stick with them. In my mind, my favorite team would be done. I would have to find a new team. That team may end up being the one that locates to a new city, but then again maybe it won't.

What If the Cowboys moved?

What I won the lottery and my hair miraculously grew back. BTW what I just said is more likely to happen.

It won't be happening through the current 30 year lease with the City of Arlington which begun in 2009.

Actually it does have a surprisingly good ring to it.

random, but my wife's family lives in Lincoln, and we just visited them there last summer. They want us to move up there, which will never happen in an unlimited number of lifetimes.
