Do you really think that NFL Network would announce this if it was absolutely bogus?

Rumors. Speculation.

Do you really think practically every Dallas beat reporter would poo poo this and laugh it off if this actually had a chance of really happening?

It is actually not to hard to understand. IF the trade between the Niners and Commanders happens the Commanders need a QB. That brings Romo into play. Now what we will get from the Commanders for Romo is written on another paper.

I would like to have the 2nd pick in the draft and watch Romo play against the Cowboys twice a year. It would be awesome.
2nd pick in the draft, sure... Romo twice a year? No thanks - he would shred our garbage excuse of a defense. I don't want any part of a shoot out against a Romo-led team

The defense would be adding two top of the draft picks in Smith and Garrett.

What? The consensus #1 pick is Garrett... Cleveland isn't giving up the next coming of Julius Peppers when they have #13 as well. Even so, many people underestimate how good a healthy Romo is. I'm not one of the "bench Dak" loons but I do think Romo can compete at a very high level given the right circumstances (solid OLine, decent WR's, and a competent defense).

In a word? Yes.

NFL network cares about ratings first and foremost. It is a rumor nothing more. As far as the network is concerned they lose nothing whether it happens or not..

Would take a Walker type trade to get the Cowboys to send Romo to the Commanders. Not happening!

Under no circumstance do i want Romo playing for the Skins. I don't care if they had the number pick in the draft and they would give it to us for Romo.

Can't blame you for this but it would depend on the picks. Remember Romo only has 1-3 years left. Could be more but I doubt it. Draft picks, if successful, could be around a lot longer.

But seeing Romo lead the Skins to a come behind win disturbs me on several levels.

Rumor to help Skins negotiate a deal with KC? Cowboys to get Romo's value up?

I just can't see the Skins trading away Cousins for Romo. Their fanbase would go nuts. Which is fine with me. Just saying.

I don't know about you, but I think I could get over Romo being in the division for the next 1-3 years giving us fits as long as Myles Garret is giving Trent Williams and his eventual replacement fits for the next 10-12.

There's no way the Cowboys would only be giving up Romo. At minimum they would be sending Washington their 1st. Probably at least a 2nd or 3rd added in to it as well.
