Why? He'll have the same opportunity a couple of years from now. Sure, it might be a little harder to hold the mic with a SB ring on his finger but I'll bet he's willing to suffer through that. Booyah. (drops mic, walks off stage)
Why? Because if I personally were him, I'd realize I've had a great career, have an amazing life, and I'd like to keep living it as healthily as possible. IMO, it may or may not worth the risk of playing another year or two.

And to be real honest, if I were really Tony, with his bank account, I wouldn't even do the TV job. I'd enjoy never working another second in my life. lol

Why torture him like that, Aikman deserves Buck

Aikman literally makes me want to puke listening to him. Buck gets him going in a negative direction, and Aikman seems to not even know it.

Would love to see Fox fire them both.

I know your ready to put him out to pasture, but thats not what he wants. I don't blame him, its not like he's all concussed, he's had injuries.

Now if I was him, I would be more open to being a backup, but that doesn't seem like what he wants.

I think he wants to compete, prove the Cowboys wrong, He will have the same options once he retires in 2-3 years, hey, maybe even with a SB ring.

These offers aren't a take it or leave it kind of thing, once he's out of the game everybody will be fighting for him.

I hate Romo doing Cowboys games, he hates on us, always negative, trying too hard not to be pro Cowboys, he sucks in the booth......thought I'd start the stupid made up crap early.

I know I'm not SDcowboy85...but possibly health? I mean he does have a family.

If I have one criticism of Romo, it is that he holds the ball too long. Seattle preseason game was the perfect example - why on earth he felt the need to scramble in that stuarion is beyond me. Same with the Eagles game when he broke his collarbone - don't double clutch the ball, it's either there or it isn't. He knew he simply HAD to stay healthy for the sake of the team, and twice he failed them completely. May sound harsh, but it's partially, possibly even mostly, his fault that this ended the way it did. Tony? Throw the freaking ball away. Seriously.l

Long story short, I don't think playing QB has to be especially dangerous - Peyton Manning played 3-4 more years after his neck surgery. How? He got rid of the ball.
