For all the Missed, Busted, injury riddled ,troubled and just plain out bad picks the Cowboys have been through. Especially the 2nd round gems...I shutter! The Football Gods smiled on this pick. Try as they might to pass over Dallas was granted perfect timing.

One of the most important positions on any team was fulfilled. In this league no QB equals not a chance.

The big difference for me last year was teams having to respect the fact that Dak might and will make you pay with his feet. Let's take a look.

Dak Prescott in (1) season 282 yds rushing from scrimmage 21 first downs and 6 TDs

Tony Romo in (11) seasons 620 Yds from scrimmage 45 first down and 5 TDs

QBR? Dak Prescott 82.7 Tony Romo ( Best year) out of 11 was 81.8 in 2014 (Disclaimer the 3 for 4 this year is not a body of work..lol)

All i'm saying is.....we can grumble about A-Z but this kid is good.

I like Dak too, but let's see how year two pans out before we anoint him a god.
The fact the did it as a rookie is very impressive. One can argue body of work or not enough game film but, by the preseason games and at lest game 6 of the regular season the best should have found a way to slow him down. I know RGIII had close to these stats as a rookie so I get it. I'm banking on Daks work ethic, educational back ground and the stinking fact he wants to be a Cowboys as a no fail safe. I think Risen just got a crick in his neck from shaking his head....Sorry sir.

Oh I hope Dak kills it this year. Believe me. I've just seen this board get excited before... maybe I'm just cynical rooting and being disappointed.

NFC East got tougher, I hope we do well.

Is it possible you guys are realistically superstitiously hopeful....Nah can't be. I've heard educated people don't believe in such nonsense. They go with facts.

Please change the title of this thread. I thought Dak may have gotten in trouble and almost had a stroke!

He is good!
Let's not lose sight that we scored 2 blue chippers (Zeke included) last year and maybe 2 more on defense once they rehab.
We get jaded, but, by George, we have a good team that is headed to greatness!

Excellent point.
After all, blokes, it took 10 years and 2 thrilling playoff wins under Romo for fans to anoint Romo as a god.
Dak gotta earn it!!!!!

With Elliot and this O-line, Dak doesn't need to be a gunslinger like Romo. Just take care of the ball and be consistent.
