From CBS (I guess Blake Jarwin was SO good that they needed to list him twice):

I don't believe the team pays Rico a roster salary to be on the practice squad last year if he was a long shot. I also don't believe the team goes without drafting a tight end his year if he is a long shot. The team obviously loves the guy and everything you hear about him has been great.

There have been stranger things that have happened in the NFL than an athletic freak taking a year to learn the position and excelling in the NFL.
Just met his dad last week. The team is very high on him and the one bit of news on him I liked hearing was "no one will out work him". We will be able to see how far he has come very soon.

Blake Jarwin was more a FB/TE hybrid than a TE in college. Would end up being a big FB at 6-5. Watched a lot of OSU obviously being in Oklahoma but I didn't see much from him as a blocker. But can really run routes and catch it.

Cooper Rush had some pretty good numbers his first two years as a starter, but he dipped below 60 percent as a passer last year, his interceptions went up and his TDs went down.

Left out Dan Skipper and Nate Theaker. I like these UDFA offensive linemen we're bringing in.

They say run after contact is non-existent. Yep, that is pretty much Dunbar.

Yes, he's a space player. Draws, screens, receiver out of the backfield. Could have a role on special teams, which might make him more valuable than Morris if McFadden stays healthy throughout camp.

Exactly, you don't pay a practice squad player a roster salary if you don't think you have something there.

I can't think of another time that has happened.

They paid extra to Ron Leary to stay on the PS and that worked out really well.

I do think they might have paid full salary to a QB or two several years ago that didn't work. It's possible that they just made that offer to a QB or two and the player(s) didn't take the offer. I know they did something related to QBs on the PS but it was probably 10 years ago.

I saw where scouts blamed the receivers for the lower completion percentage, saying drops really factored in
