Perhaps it's your reading comprehension that is the mistake here. When did I ever say they don't receive questionable calls due to their popularity?

So according to you, the officials make calls against Dallas because that's what the majority of people want to see? Please go on...
reading comprehension is definitely the problem
'
you keep pointing to their popularity, but I already knocked that softball out of the park. the majority that watch football want us to lose. so popularity is a stupid reason to throw at us.

#1 in merchandise sales - come on. reading comprehension is right! you lack it. the majority of people that buy merchandise want us to lose too. wasted enough time with your nonsense. come up with something new, and we can resume.

I wouldn't believe an anti-Cowboys conspiracy years ago when Goodell wasn't the Commissioner and Wellington Mara was alive and well.

I don't trust Goodell and Mara has shown his vendetta against the Cowboys, particularly with how he handled the non-salary cap season penalty.

I tend to think that with Goodell's botching of the Ray Rice situation and he knows the Cowboys are in the spotlight, he's taking extra precaution with EE and I'm sure Mara is probably advising him to do so.

What we know about the EE situation is that numerous people that were strangers to both EE and his ex-gf have said that he didn't do anything to her and she yelled that she was going to ruin his career. We also know that a friend of hers (I would assume now an ex-friend) went to the police and told them that she was with EE's ex-gf when she got into a fight at a bar with some random woman and tried to claim that those scratches and bruises were from EE.

While I understand wanting to make sure due diligence is done...EE (and any player for that matter) is entitled to quick investigation and not to have this hanging over his head.

Of course, all of this could have been prevented if Goodell handled previous offenders the right way.

A stupid reason for what? You never answered my question. Lol, I honestly don't even know what you're talking about. A lot of conversations consist of questions and answers, this is one sided. Perhaps when you start answering questions it will make more sense. Until then, your right, time to move on.

First of all, I'm not sure there is an exact case to compare it to hence the reason why I said "I believe it's normal". You said yourself not every case is the same and if there aren't any cases that are the same as Zeke's how can you be upset or act like he is being discriminated against when there isn't a similar case to compare it to?

Lol, really? I'm crying about it? "Wrong". Other people are more than just crying about it because it's taking so long, they're using lame conspiracy theories as the reason. I'm just sick of hearing all the "poor us" conspiracy theories when there is absolutely nothing to back it up. Every time there is a bad call, a suspension, etc against the Cowboys so many fans start stomping their feet crying about how much the NFL and Goodell are out to get them. It's ridiculous and it's childish to blame the NFL anytime we don't agree with something. I got news for you, it happens to every team and we've been the recipient of both good and bad calls, like every team.

So again, why are you crying about a something that hasn't even happened yet? I don't get this. So what, the case is open. Did that effect his play last year? Don't think so. Does it appear to hurt the team in any way? Don't think so. I think certain fans are crying about it more than Zeke.

We all want it to be over but until it is, and a guilty verdict/suspension comes with false evidence, then there's no reason to get upset about it. Chill out.

You seem to clearly be the most exciteable person in this entire thread.

All I've asked is for you to backup your claim of normalcy with literally anything, but you just keep going on and on about fans and conspiracy theories.

The only problem I have with what you've said is the idea that anyone questioning why this is taking so long is automatically a conspiracy theorist, a whiner, and a child.

When the truth is, yes, this is taking a very long time.

Agree with most of what you said other than Mara pulling the strings. I've heard the same argument ablut Jerry daughter having pull on with regards to Hardy ainc she was on the eithics committee, how ironic is that? I don't know much about Mara or the Giants ownership but I don't buy Mara having any kind of pull anymore than Jerry does or several other owners.

You're 100% right that this mess would have been over with a long time ago had they handled previous offenders (namely Rice) differently.

Perhaps I'm the most exciteable person because I'm the only one not worried that this is dragging on nor do I believe the NFL is out to get us so everyone is asking me questions. Hard to believe, I know.

You didn't ask for literally anything, we both agreed no cases are the same. If you asked for literally anything I could have brought up Hardy, Josh Brown, Ray Rice, etc but that's comparing apples to oranges so it's a moot point. Again, we don't know the details nor do we have anything to compare it to so stop the moaning that it's taking too long.

I didn't mean to say EVERYONE was a conspiracy theorist, whiner or child but MANY are acting like it and have brought up how the NFL is out to get us. That's a fact.

I would absolutely like this to be behind us but it's not and since I believe nothing will come of it (based on what we know) then I'm not going to complain. Yes, it does seem to be taking very long, but again, we don't know the details.

What strings did Jerry's daughter possibly pull with regards to Hardy?

Hardy was originally given a 10-game suspension and it was reduced to 4-games.

Why?

Because the 10-game suspension violated the CBA which states that first time offenders can only get a 4-game suspension. Goodell gave a 10-game suspension to Hardy as a PR move so he cuold say 'hey, I wanted to give him a 10-game suspension, but the player's union fought me on it.'

I called it when Hardy was given the 10-game suspension...it clearly violated the CBA and would be reduced to a 4-game suspension. Goodell knew that, but tried to save face.

Mara was the driving force behind the salary cap penalty.

Jerry may finally get some pull with the league office after being the driving force of finally getting the league back in Los Angeles and moving the Raiders to Las Vegas. But, I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm not saying she did pull any strings, I said I've heard that argument and I find it ironic that Jerry hired the biggest piece of human excrement to ever play the game of football after domestic violence charges and his daughter is on the ethics committee. That's laughable, only the Cowboys. But I agree with you 100% and I don't think she was even in the position to pull any strings.

On the other hand, Mara was in a better position to use leverage but I don't think Mara was out to intentionally screw over the Cowboys. From my understanding, he didn't enforce or enact this penalty all on his own. In other words, it took a group of people. Besides, again, I could be wrong but even though there was nothing in writing, wasn't there a gentlemnes agreement of sorts to not front load salaries because the (edit: no cap) would cause an unfair advantage?

If the was the case, again, could be wrong, but I think it's pretty slimy to not abide by a gentlemens agreement and that's exactly the thing I could see Jerry doing. If it isn't clear, I despise Jerry for several reasons so I'm obviously not trying to hide that, just being honest.

As I've said 100 times, you very well may be much more knowledgeable than me on this subject so I'd be very interested to hear any more details. For example, other than the Skins and Cowboys, how many other teams were affected? If there weren't any other teams, why were Dallas and Washington the only ones to not follow the verbal agreement?

BTW, I also put Dan Snyder in the same low life boat as Jerry but for slightly different reasons.

Greg Hardy got screwed. DA's don't expunge charges willy-nilly. They will expunge charges when the defendant can come back to trial, win the case and then sue the government. That's what happened with Hardy because:

1. Hardy called 911 on her because she hit him in the face with the heel of a high-heel shoe.
2. His ex-gf could be heard on the 911 call apologizing and saying she didn't want to go to jail.
3. The police report said when they arrived to the condo, Hardy's ex-gf ran away from the police instead of running towards the police.
4. The 911 call made by the ex-gf's friend she told the 911 operator that she was in another room and couldn't actually see what was going on.
5. Hardy's ex-gf admitted to being high on cocaine and drunk.
6. Hardy's ex-gf claimed she was strangled, yet no marks were on her neck.
7. Statements made by the ex-gf in the police report differed from her testimony in the bench trial.

Despite that, Hardy basically sat the entire 2015 season and Goodell pulled the 10-game suspension.

Compare that to Ray Rice, Rafael Septien, Rae Carruth and Aaron Hernandez it pales in comparison. While I don't think Hardy is a 'good guy', he did get screwed over in this situation. And Charlotte Jones being on the ethics committee really has nothing to do with the situation. It's just as laughable as thinking that she 'pulled some strings.'

Sudden shift in topic of conversation but I'll play. Hardy is a POS plain and simple and it's not even worth arguing with anyone who supports him in any way, shape or fashion. Out of curiosity, are you a lawyer because you sure sound like one. You may not "support" him yet you think he got screwed over? He beat a woman, plain and simple, he should have been banned for life. Hardy's gf claimed to be high and drunk but you don't think he was? No marks on her neck, just all over her back. There's no doubt his gf was trash but that doesn't mean he didn't do anything. Just look at his behavior on the field. He slaps a clip board out of a coaches hand! But after drinking and partying all night surely he would never hit a woman, even if she did "attack" him first. If Carolina's laws weren't so back asswards, the guilty verdict would have stuck.

You must have read over the part where I said I agreed with you on the Charlotte Jones theory. I just said I had heard people make that argument although I don't think she could have any influence over the decision. I said it was ironic that she was on the ethics committee and her dad hired one of the biggest scumbags to ever play the game.

Back to the Mara theory. After reading up on it more I do think the NFL was all screwed up but to me a verbal agreement amongst owners should be followed. It just so happens that the two richest/most profitable franchises in the NFL (Commanders and Cowboys) who also have two owners who are both dirtbags and have a bromance with each other stuck their middle finger up at the 30 other owners and went against the agreement. That's slimy as hell.

Not one other team violated the agreement except the two who could benefit from it the most. So John Mara already happened to occupy the chairman position before the agreement was broken yet he is solely responsible for the punishment which was justified in my opinion? Not to mention, I may be wrong here, but I believe the "punishment" was for the amount of money they altered certain players contracts which they shouldn't have done in the first place. So if I understand it correctly, which I may not, that would be like me stealing $100 from the bank and my punishment is to return the $100.

Regardless, one of the main reasons I despise Jerry are due to his questionable and sometimes outright unethical behavior, not only in the football world but his personal life as well. This just confirms my beliefs even more.

And no, I'm not a John Mara fan because I know next to nothing about him but I did read he should have kept his mouth shut after the decision. I guess he said some things that some people thought made him look bad or maybe it was because he was the chairman and the only two owners to break the agreement happened to be in his division.

Maybe I'm old school but a handshake or a verbal agreement or even an understanding should be as good as a written agreement. I've dumped "friends" over things like that. If I can't trust you than I don't want you in any part of my life hence my disdain for JJ.

Okay, so most everyone on the forum has been here much longer than I and have more experience with how the NFL operates.
Stopped reading your post right there because the first thing that came to mind was, are you ready for this....
NOT EVEN THE NFL KNOWS HOW THEY OPERATE:lmao2:

P.S- Great Sig!

Are you referring to @aria as a stink?

That's a little harsh. He's likely just a member of the Giants and or the league office. Let's keep this civil.
Yeah, because I don't wear blinders and call out players/people I don't agree with no matter what uniform they wear. You must have been in a fraternity, I get it now.
