The Break and Talking Cowboys switching up again

I know everyone will be super excited to hear that they have decided to make changes again to both of those shows. Actually they are switching up On Air also. Nate Newton is being moved there. Taylor Stern and Broaddus are moving to Talking Cowboys and Helman will be on The Break full-time now. Obviously, I was joking about super excited but I will miss "I try to tell people" every five minutes on Talking Cowboys.

NO! TStern on Talkin Cowboys? Screw that, I lov Mickey but she is too freakin annoying. Well, now it's on the Break for me. Sucks.

What about Rob and Lindsey? Hopefully, they won't be on either show.

I liked the break.. I don't get the Stern hate. I wish they would've left that alone.

Talkin Cowboys has just been terrible.

Mickey has gotten stale and the only use he has now is when he gives us something he heard behind the scenes.. His opinions are so by the book that it's just boring.

No, I'm just not going to bother to add that word to my vocabulary. Flat out refuse to even look it up.

...many of us grew up accepting the two terms as essentially the same, thanks to Bugs. Again, fwiw.

So you are going to have Broddus/ Mickey constantly bickering and Stern butchering the English language on the Talking? That just sounds painful to get through.

I, too, liked Break, as-is... and there's really no one on the other podcasts that I cared to listen to. So, this will compel me to see if I can stand to listen to Talkin with its new mix. Probably so--Broaddus I noticed was really good at pushing Mickey into some actually interesting comments last week when they were on the same podcast (whatever they were calling it). Mickey's usefulness, to me anyway, is mainly in his recall of Cowboys history.

Never "hated on" Stern, but to the contrary, the first time she was able to recite names of players cut two years ago that I'd long since forgotten, I had to appreciate her as a legit voice. Let's face it, females have a respect curve to deal with in her profession, even among us who try to consciously prevent ourselves from any prejudice... but pretty much any criticism I have of her has everything to-do with her youth, not her estrogen levels. She has some respect from my corner.

Yeah I don't get it either. I like her. I don't find her insightful but she doesn't have a negative impact on the show.

Newton is kind of annoying to me. The last few times I listed to Talkin Cowboys, I feel like it's the Nate show because of his constant rambling.

Not sure why they switch up these shows.

Probably some type of ratings system.

I can't imagine Talkin Cowboys was doing well and there is no way on Air was doing anything.

The break was a quality show. More Helman is a good thing too.

I appreciate the job Nate did for the Cowboys as a player but Mickey and Rob do not bring out the best in him. He does better on radio in short spurts.

If he were with another Ex-Athlete I think he would do better.

Me, too. Especially when he messes up players names. Like calling "Chaz" Green "Gaston" all the time. And he just rolls with it when you can tell sometimes nobody else has any idea who the hell he's talking about.

It's getting to where I can't tell any of these shows apart anymore. I don't remember what the old lineups used to be, and I can't tell what's supposed to differentiate one from the other.

Entitled to your opinion, @PJTHEDOORS . For me, it's less that she's boring than that she talks like a 20-something.... and no offense to the 20-somethings who may be here... but every now and then they tend to say something that reflects, lets just say, a lack of appreciation for what history and/or life experiences will eventually impress upon them (... there... that's diplomatic, right?).

Much prefer the Break over TC.

Mickey is always grumpy and tows the company line far too much- and Nate (while he means well), is almost unlistenable. At least Broaddus will bring some heat to the show because I sincerely think they do not get along.

I liked the Break's mix. And Taylor Stern wasn't a problem for me. I think she's pretty well informed, and if you listen carefully- may have
perfectly friendly yet totally APPROPRIATE insight on a personal level with some of the players on the team... she's their age and I bet they banter.
