What is your evaluation of the defensive secondary, especially after the Cowboys lost two players during the game?

It was obviously quite poor and disjointed today to say the least. They are trying to work in the new youngsters who all had very limited training camp work and now are playing against really good teams who know their ways to attack you. They seemed to try a lot more man-to-man so if the opposition can pick the matchup they like, then your tackling better be right on point. As we all could see, there was nothing sure about the tackling and they paid dearly for it. Also, I am not a big fan of what appears to be the plan of playing Jeff Heath up with Sean Lee in the nickel and dime defenses and having Byron Jones and Kavon Frazier over the top. I would put Jones closer to the line and Heath deep. I think that fits their strengths better, but that obviously is not their choice. It sure seems that Sean Lee and Anthony Hitchens were the only LBs they trusted in man coverage and without Hitchens, they are scrambling. The Giants had no RBs of note, so that helped last week.

It might b a good thing to having a humbling experience early in the season, but that was performance yesterday was worse than humbling, it was a dismantling.

We could have been humbled last year vs the Giants losses or in the playoff loss vs Green Bay. Don't think this is a team full of big egos.

As long as JG circles the wagon.....not expose the wagon. History says he will not.

Those 3 losses were by a comined 7 points. Getting their heads handed to them on Sunday is a different story. They don't need to be egomaniacs to start feeling like they're better than they might really be. Might refocus them. If that humiliation doesn't motivate them to work harder nothing would.

It was the blueprint for the league. The loss was reminiscence of the loss to GB where Wade got fired immediately afterwords. Red's seat should be as hot as a ghost pepper right now.

The blue print for the league to beat the Cowboys has not changed since last year. Stop the run first. Last year few teams were successful at it. The problem lies in the fact that when a team does in fact stop the run, Linehan does not have an answer.

I disagree slightly as the opponents last year were dealing with Dak as well. Now they have a full season of tape to showcase any limitations he has. No one stopped the run last year thus this blueprint never had a tape for other teams to view. Now they do.

That is like saying

" guys I flunked my exam but that is a good thing because I will get to study the material again unlike the rest of you who passed"

That is true JG logic right there

C'boys should have learned a lesson in Denver that they can't play with a flat effort and expect to survive, much less win.

This organization hasn't sniffed a championship game in over twenty years. Denver has won more Super Bowls and been to many more playoff games in that time period. What is he talking about being "humbled"? This team should come out every week with a chip on its shoulder with something to prove because they haven't proven anything. They were one-and-done last year.

This is where our coaches are to get Dak ready for this too. But they never seem to make any adjustments.

We're too easy to defend. No creativity in the offensive design. Denver's head coach (a rookie by the way) said before the game that we're easy to scout, but hard to stop. Apparently we were easy to scout and to stop on Sunday. This team isn't as good as the 90's teams that could just line up and dominate. Teams now know how to play us. It's up to the offensive coaching staff to throw in some wrinkles to make us more difficult to defend.

We'll see what happens going forward because I am confident that our 'staff' thought they could line up and mash anyone with this Oline. They just found out different. WHY on earth so many guys in here thought we could run all over Denver is beyond me. Sure they sucked vs. the run last year. This year they signed Peko and drafted well to stop the run and it's working.
