i used to really like listening to The Break on the Cowboys website but it had become to0 painful to follow. Ambar Garcia has no business being on that show. She has limited football knowledge and is a babbling fool that is not articulate in an way.

I like the dynamic of having a woman on the show but have someone that knows the game - even understanding the basics would help - and can speak clearly.

There are woman out there that know the game, are well spoken and can speak Spanish.

I can't listen to this show anymore.

What is your take people?

Those shows are a little sexist when it comes to hiring women and men. Men can be out of shape (Broaddus), old (Mickey & Broaddus), doesn't matter what they look like. But the women on the show have to be in their 20s, and are there for their looks. Don't have to have any knowledge/history of the team, much less NFL football in general. I only listen to Talking Cowboys for Mickey, Rob and Broaddus. TStern has gotten a little better with her subject matter. But whenever Mickey, Rob, or Broaddus start breaking down the game, the details, she rarely gives anything original. All she does is wisecrack whenever Mickey talks, or sits there and says "Yes", whenever they start breaking down stuff. But hey, when it comes to talking about social media or taking a phone call, wow, she is great.

As for the Break, David Helman & Nick Eatman bore me too much, can't listen to it more than a few minutes. I heard that girl you are talking about the 1st time she was introduced to the show, but ya, doesn't suprise me on why she is there. To get viewers to watch.

Semi attractive-beautiful women play life on rookie mode.

On ESPN talk shows, there are plenty of older women, even out of shape ones, that are on as equals to the men.

I follow the Lakers, and case in point, Ramona Shelburne. She isn't there for her looks.

I'm happy someone else has noticed her. I brought it up before the season started and some jack leg on here called me sexist and said if I had daughters I'd feel different. That was short sighted and stupid. I'm proudly as liberal as they come. That said Amabar is absolutely horrible on the show.

Last week she went on and on and on and on...about how Dak starts slow and plays better in the second half. Nick pointed out his completion % was nearly identical and the other stats were very close too. Instead of giving up she's doubled down and now she apparently has Dak saying he's better as the game goes on. The pitch of her voice and her accent with certain words is nerve racking. I understand English isn't her first language and it is challenging. Then they shouldn't put her on a semi professional broadcast until she's ready. I could deal with it if she had some knowleagde. She clearly knows nothing about the game as anyone would know that heard her rambling point about Dak.

There's plenty of quality woman journalist in sports talk. She's not one. Not even close. She's worse than that squeaky girl from a year or two ago. I've given Taylor credit. She's good. She worked hard with Broadus watching film and trying to learn the game and it shows. Additionally she's speaks well and is a professional sounding broadcaster like almost all that are heard.

Have u ever been a regular viewer of Spanish language television and the morning news shows for example? Say on Univision or Telemundo? If u have that tells u everything u need to know.

Studies and research have proven his point to be true in society at large. Of course there are exceptions.

I loved listening to Jackie MacMullan on the Celtics beat, but ESPN stole her.

She's awful. I unsubscribed the the podcast partly due to her weird addition to the show. She usually disappears from discussion for a few minutes until I forget she's there, and then startles me when she starts talking again. She contributes nothing.

I was critical of Taylor, but I think she's doing way better on her show. She at least asks decent questions and redirects Mickey to keep him off tangents.

Ramona Shelburne is there 100% because of her basketball knowledge. But ESPN’s basketball and baseball coverage is tops compared to football — football models after the fan base, clickbait trash.

My take is who cares if there are qualified women? Why would that be a point of emphasis for the show? Put the best people on there and quit worrying about diversity.
They are running a business and they are trying to attract more customers. We live in a diverse country and they assume having a diverse staff may help attract a more diverse and thus larger customer base. I agree that is smart business, but you have to have the right people.

I stopped listening/watching The Break and Talkin' Cowboys last year.

Reading the accounts of the shows here, I definitely made the right decision.
