The person you quoted is just super emotional because we got beat badly. Pay them no mind. Maybe they should stick to "drama" class since that seems to be their area of expertise not football.

It's amazing how you continue to attempt to project your own faults and failings on everyone else and start trouble anywhere and everywhere you go.

You're either trolling or amazingly lacking in self-awareness, I can't tell which.

We got dumpstered by a Denver team that basically never loses at home during the first two weeks of the season. They've made better teams than ours look worse than that.

Do the Cowboys have to play better than they did if they want to be a playoff game winning team? Absolutely.

Is the season over because now we just know for sure that this Cowboys team can't compete with a single good team and is guaranteed to miss the playoffs or be one and done again? Absolutely not.

Blah blah blah if you don't like my post you can put me on ignore it's free. Otherwise I don't see how I can upset you so. You need a hug or something. I just think you're so emotional because of the beat down and all of a sudden I'm a trouble maker lol. You're too old I'm assuming to be an online victim claimed when you can easily have me on ignore. I'm just interacting with our fellow posters if you disagree ok but it is easy to pay my post no mind also. For some reason you can't do that

You're a "trouble maker lol" because that's what you are.

You cause arguments and I'll feelings with everyone you come into contact with. That's on you.

It's not "everybody else", it's you.

It's clear who felt compelled to stick their nose into the debate two other people were having. Again, it's you.

Once again, that complete lack of self-awareness is on full display.

I'll continue to look forward to the day you're out of here. This place is not for you.

Blah blah blah just put me on ignore or please stop complaining otherwise. You're messing up the thread with your petty internet beef Stanley. I'll be bigger and let you have the last word Stanley because this messageboard seems to be your life so go ahead and have the final say. I won't respond unless we are actually talking football not any petty junk. If you want that pm me or let it be. Good day

Or how about selling out for the run instead of abandoning it? Dictating to a defense instead of letting them dictate to you.

Why do they pay so much for those linemen?

Why draft a running back at #4 overall?

Why carry four tight ends?

Why carry four running backs?

Why carry a fullback at all?
Lol, someone needs to ask jg those
at a PC.

I have come to the conclusion that maybe all this hand wringing about what is wrong with the team ignores one major point.

Denver is just better, period. They have better players, they have better schemes, they have better coaching, and the have a better front office/gm.

Maybe there is really nothing drastically wrong with this team, it's just not that good compared to other teams like Denver.
...but there must be something drastically wrong with you if you watched that debacle a second time...:)

Seems like Dallas "lays an egg" against teams they don't play often.... Especially in their house...

I encourage everyone to take a look at this link to the play by play for this game:

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2017091710/2017/REG2/cowboys@broncos#menu=gameinfo|contentId:0ap3000000847079&tab=analyze&analyze=playbyplay

Take note of how many times you see the words "Prescott" and "pass". Not just when the score was out of hand, but from the very beginning.

This team's offensive playcalling played as big of a role in the rout as anything else.

There were problems all over the place and plenty of directions to point the finger, but playing right into your opponent's hands will get you beat every single time.
All everyone has to do is go look at the Detroit Lions offense when Linehan was with them. When the run game didnt pan out right away, Linehan had Stafford throw the ball 50+ times a game. He gave up on the run way too early to even establish it. I think we did too against the Broncos. So this is a Linehan pattern we havent seen yet with the Cowboys until the Denver game.

I've already seen it more than I would like.

Good call on Stafford too, I think he still owns the record for most pass attempts in a season.

Dak is currently second after two games (89) and on pace to be second all time.

Does anybody think that's a good plan for him or this team?

Again, something I would love for the so-called "reporters" to ask garrett - "Since 2 out of the last 3 seasons that Dallas has been very successful coincide with an offense based on running the ball, even when falling behind in games, why is after two games Dak second in pass attempts all time? With the resources invested in the line and backfield, how can you make a decision to let any opponent take you away from relying on it or to have a game plan that seems to be pass heavy? And isn't it your responsibility to nudge your OC and make sure that Dallas doesn't get away from who it is on offense?"

Actually, these call for responses that might:

a. Accept responsibility for something wrong; and
b. Call for someone to actually be proactive instead of reactive.

Both of which are not in the DNA of the person with the title of HC for the Dallas Cowboys.

They were better Sunday, for sure.

We've seen it before, though. What happens when you play a team once is not necessarily what happens when you play them a second time in the NFL. On to AZ now. If we see Denver again this year, we can worry about what to do about them then.

I've see this happen to a lot of team that play in Mile High. Not every time but every year. They were FLAT, most likely the altitude, seriously it can and does happen.

That wasn't the only thing though. Jerry has squandered many a Career, now the entire OLine is up for laying to waste, father time is undefeated.

I'm operating on the assumption that this was a real outlier for Dallas. Say what you want about Garrett teams, but they're usually prepared and play up to the level of their competition. And you don't usually see all of the Dallas offensive stars so off at the same time. Jason Witten dropping a pass that hits him right in the hands is the best example of that. When that happens, you know something is up.

I'm leaning towards chalking this up as Giants Hangover + altitude and it being one of those things. Now, if we don't come out and beat AZ physically on Monday, it's a completely different story. But I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt until then.

2 things stood out for me....

1. They sure looked a hell of a lot quicker off the football than we did...on both sides to the football.

2. We got severly out coached....and we failed to make any adjustments. And that is our achillies heal. If we don't come out and dominate...we are content to ride it out and accept the loss.
