You guys notice how GOOD the Lions safeties were last night? Quin (Free Agent) and Killebrew (draft pick ) were laying serious wood as was Davis, the MLB and 1st rounder out of Florida. Their new GM (Quinn from the New Enlgand organization) is doing a helluva job. I think some guys on here have been too complimentary of McClay. He's done a good but not great job IMO. He's made his mistakes and Byron Jones is a big one right now. Switch him to CB and get a someone in there at Safety like Frazier or Woods who will hit someone. Jones is SOFT.

I think the combination of the new GM, Bob Quinn, who I think is the real deal and the maturation of Stafford may be a turning point for the Lions.

Would not be surprised to see them in the playoffs as a strong challenger.

Lol. But to your question anyone who turns the ball over at that pace is not playing well, better, good, or great without some insane accompanying numbers. He has looked better but his flaws are still intact. Denver will eat him

Maybe, but not that I know of. I live in Michigan and most Lions fans are VERY cautious, because they've seen the fools gold before. They'll probably get run by Atlanta this week, but who knows? It's the NFL.

Jones is not going to be a great safety. If you are not willing to square up and tackle you can't play safety in this league

You have no clue what Wentz will be in the future. Potential means nothing if it doesn't translate to the field. Right now Wentz looks to take over Eli turnover crown.

Byron was dealing with an injury and not only that but the entire defense wasn't great this past weekend. You don't go from being dominate in 1 week to getting dominated the next week. Chill out

Dont take my word for it. Wait to the league ranks Wentz ahead of Dak at the end of year. I love how no one can be better than any Cowboy. Wentz is 100 times better a passer than Dak is. By no means is this a knock on Dak at all. They are 2 different QB. Wentz didnt have our O line and Elliot. He has nice weapons this year. He is getting better by the game. Ill take Wentz if I had the choice. I know you giys worship Dak. He played very well but he has ways to go ( as does Wentz) but in my opion Wentz has a better upside. Dak os not a great passer. He is just not. Hos accuracy downfield is not any good. His 3rd down completion percentage is bad and has is worse this year. Again this is not a knock on Dak but i love how some Cowboy fans just say Wentz stinks. Its amusing.

Every GM makes mistakes...even the great ones.

You're looking at the Lions through "glass half full" lens, and you're looking at the Cowboys through "glass half empty" lens. Very common around here.
