Yes, I do. I thought they were done at 0-0. It's about preparation and this team isn't prepared to make a run at anything but a top 10 pick in the draft.

Too many distractions. Too many "injured" (lazy) players, too coddled by the head coach. They aren't winning anything this year.

then I guess you won't be watching any games this year...

Come on risen we aren't that bad. We're not SB contenders but we're not trash. Lol

I would imagine the NFL has this unofficial policy in place to not upset the sports books and gambling lines ect.
It seems shady but I cant help but have the feeling they wont suspend a guy who has a real impact on the point spreads the day of the game.
Similar to why they have the injury reports that teams have to release...they can pretend its for other teams to prepare but its really for the odds makers.
That is a great point about the betting line............ a Saturday change would have a huge effect on the spread

The NFL just suspended DT RHageman 6 games for DV, effective immediately ...... they announced it today to prove they can do whatever they want

He was originally on the Commissioner's Exempt List for the first 2 weeks but now is officially suspended even though he isn't on a roster.... the earliest he can come back is Week 9, if signed

So it is basically an 8 week suspension since he wasn't getting paid by anyone

Smoke and mirrors, huh? It's not exactly the same because this guy isn't even on an active roster. Man, Goodell is such a weasel. His integrity is at an all time low. A clown on a high wire act.

You actually think a 1-1 season is lost?

If you didn't beat a chick, would you accept a kangaroo court saying you beat her?
Actually Risen has been unusually patient this year.

Usually he watches a series or two of the first game, write off the season and focus on the upcoming draft.

A mid September write off is very late for him.

I have a fear that if this drags on for a year or so and Zeke ultimately loses, he'll effectively be finished in football. Due to the spotlight on this case, the public reaction will be Hardy x 100. Cowboys will have to fire him.
This is pretty ridiculous take. If the suspension is upheld the reaction will be no different than it has to this point. The NFL will claim they were right, Zeke will claim he's innocent, idiots and haters will believe he did it, and people with critical thinking ability will know there's no proof. The fallout has already happened. If the suspension is upheld he'll sit for six and play afterwards.

Honestly...Elliott should sue Goodell...in a civil case...for slander. Was never charged...or convicted. But the entire league (Goodell) has made it out that he is a wife beater. He will never clear his name now. And that is gonna cost Elliott money.

I seriously think he has a case...and could win millions.

Not really. There is a pretty high burden of proof. You have to prove that the person knew it was false and had no regard for the truth. Personally I don't think it meets that criteria.

With the current state of the team I say let's do it this season if it has to be done at all.

No but if your eyes tell you that we are better than the falcons or packers I want some of the stuff your smoking
You said to trade for Andy Dalton and bench Dak. You said to start Cooper Rush over Dak, and that Rush will be the starter by 2019.

I want to know what the **** you are smoking, Shebang

Explain based on the current public evidence. I agree the burden is high, but there is a pretty good bit of evidence of disregard for the truth and ignoring relevant testimony.

DV is a pretty serious charge, and Goodell sticks to that wording in every comment about Zeke.

fwiw, the burden of proving slander would fall on Elliott, not the league to prove they did not slander him and to answer your question, I'd say that there is 0 evidence to suggest they knew she was lying, which is necessary to prove slander. Now there's certainly evidence to suggest that she wasn't the most credible witness, but there really isn't any evidence to suggest that the league knew she was lying, not probably lying, but definitely lying and decided to do this anyway.

So the texts from her friend stating she was unwilling to lie to back up the story have no import to you?

Yup..I get the same feeling. 2 games into the season...and I'm already tired of see Elliott pout on the sideline. Funny...How I was saying we should have traded him while he still had some value...
