Where will LeBron build his super (friends) team?

Think that might be more interesting than who will win the title this year/./ GSW.

My criterion as options.
1. Must have legit cap space. Need 1 mega-max slot minimum to play.
2. Must have trade assets with picks or young players.
3. Must have good LeBron relationship.
4. Bonus points for being in the East.
5. Some political lean to left minimum.

So I came up with:
1. Philly. If Philly is tired of losing that team has the right draft picks and cap space and young talent to trade to make a viable Super Friends option close to CLE. LeBron loves worst to first stories and it's in the East.
2. LAL. Lakers are on a liberal coast with cap space and young bodies to trade. MAgic is really whom LeBron patterned his game after --partly why MJ has always been salty towards LBJ favoring his imitator Kobe.
3. DAL. Cuban is as outspoken against Trump as any owner. Team is player friendly and will work with power brokers. Have great cap space and good secondary type players to use or trade. Dirk makes a great 4 to LBJs 3 with his ability to spread the floor and hit 3s. And Dirk would play for peanuts as a 6th man.
4. PHX. Young talent and tons of cap cash. Retirement destination.
5. Chicago Bulls. Bulls tear down is almost complete and they tons of cap space. Big city in the East, home of proper politics. Did the DWade sour relationship in CHI hurt them too much with Bron?

Well, its been an hour and no one besides yourself has responded.

I think that's indicative of what's going on in the NBA today: Unless you live in a "superteam" city or think your city might end up as one, you probably don't care much about the off-season.

I'm think that's going to spill over into the regular season next, and if they're not careful, the playoffs.

Probably Lakers due to some young talent there and cap space. Also, they are in LA.

Who is part of LBJ superfriends? Wade is looking like a depth player, with questionable effort, Melo hasn't been considered great in a while now. That leaves who, Chris Paul?

Love the Lakers, never liked Lebron. I would be ok with Lebron on the Lakers, but not at any cost via trading Ingram or Ball to get a player Lebron wants on the team with him in LA. I don't want the Lakers changing everything or anything to make Lebron happy. If that's what Lebron wants then he can go somewhere else.

That's actually part of it that makes it much easier.
DWade and Carmelo would be playing for a pittance compared to past salaries.
CP3 may also take a bit of a pay cut.

That 4some actually takes a ton of pressure off LBJ. CP3 handles the ball and settles everything down and guards small guards.
DWade and Carmelo are taking every shot they can and still beat people man on man without help.

But this 4some isn't winning anything without major help.
So I think they'd need to go somewhere with some key talent in place.

This is why Lakers are not clear front runner. Magic can build around around Ingram and all which seems to be the plan or hand the franchise to LeBron but he can't do both. Noting else on the Lakers roster is much of an asset and they are tradeable firsts for a while.

That was a team that won 26 games so they have a long way to go to have a legit NBA roster. It looks 2 to 3 years away from playoff contention.

BUT... Magic could flip the script and go opposite direction with LeBron makeover and he'd need assets such as Ball/Ingram to make that happen imho.

Love how KD trashed OKC "they don't have anyone besides Russ". These days you have to have 5 all stars to win titles...which boils it down to like two teams..and they wonder why no one is watching

I think if Lebron goes to LA Ingram and Ball are traded. And if you are LA you have to ask yourself if its better to go with a short window with Lebron & Friends or keep building on your young core. Its also worth noting that LA is losing a potentially high lotto pick this year to Philadelphia or Boston so your young core may just be Ingram and Ball.

I think the Lakers will have space for two max deals next season. They could probably clear space for a 3rd but I think they would have to give up assets to get someone to take Clarksons contract.

My question is is there a way the Lakers can land all or Lebron, George, Paul, Wade and Anthony? May be possible, but I think Lebron and Magic will have to convince people to take less. Paul George seems the least likely to do that being that he is in his prime and this is a big contract for him. However if he is winning in LA he can make any money he leaves on the table back with better endorsement deals

Well I follow bball, and the Lakers are just terrible. No resources, they will be lucky to clear space for Bron and friends. It would have to be him and Paul George, and the Lakers will still have to dump salary to sign both. Wade would have to sign for the vet minimum, yeah right.

If I were Bron, I was stay in Cleveland and lose to the Warriors cause his legacy will be horrible if he leaves to lose in LA (his legacy is very very important to him). Now if he really wants to do something, he has a relationship with Ben Simmons since Ben was in college and still works out with him even a couple of months ago. Philly is also one of the top 5 markets in basketball. If I were him, I would go to Philly, win a championship then sit back in the rocking chair (like Kareem) and let Embiid, Simmons, and Fultz win a bunch more.

Just me though, NBA is different that the NFL.

They would have to dump Clarkson and Deng to even worry about Bron and company. Maybe they can try to find someone dumb enough to take those salaries.

Their not trading Ball, he is supposed to be the franchise and he from LA. Ingram is terrible, look up the numbers they will tell you that. HOF talent that is Embiid is in Philly, Bron's not stupid, he might go to the Lakers cause its LA but if he actually uses his brain he would stay in Cleveland or go to Philly where he could get alot of rings there if Embiid is healthy.
