Very true, and as someone recently pointed out the increase of players disrespecting our National Anthem is turning off some of the fans as well. I'm just fortunate I was able to view the nfl in the 70s, 80's and 90's before it became feminized and politicized

It also is bad, that after EVERY big play your team has, you look around and wait for the flag to be thrown.

Some, if not most, of the blame should go to the players and coaches. These guys go right up to the edge, if not over, on every play in order to get the advantage on their opponent. Many times, they're coached up to do things in ways that are questionable.

Its almost like they're daring the officials to throw a flag on every play. The two positions where its most noticeable are cornerback and offensive linemen.

Walking the line between calling a penalty on every play and letting things go to improve the flow of the game makes officiating a tough job.

But, if I knew there were no consequences for watching porn at work, I wouldn't be too worried if someone stood up and pointed me out. And I've never watched porn. At work...

There were 4 penalties called on the Vikings that should of never been called. Then every other play, A flag. The calls really screwed the Vikings who were already screwed after Bradford didn't play. Seattle benefited on the "wail Mary" against GB when the replacements got the possession rule right contrary to popular belief, but missed the blatantly obvious offensive PI on Golden Tate.

The NFL doesn't want the officiating to get better, they like the ability to "steer" games to get what "desired results" are wanted at the time.

That Super Bowl was the beginning of the end for me. Why there isn't more discussion of the obvious fix is weird to me.
