The Red Skins dismantled Oak so bad the Denver game with us last week looked pretty average. They showed good offense, great defense, and good STs. At this point in the season, if we played them, they would win by a land slide. To play in their sand box we would need that young secondary to be healthy and playing at a high level.

Sorry, but they looked terrible week #1 and not much better the following week. It should be apparent by now, the NFL is all about match-ups. Obviously we did not match-up well against Denver, but that doesn't mean that we wouldn't beat Washington--and it doesn't mean that they are somehow crowned the division champs after one good game. The over analyzing of one game has reached ridiculous proportions.

Evidently, they're serving notice that they won't be anyone's doormat this season. Let's see if they'll manage to continue their newfound power throughout this still-young season. From the looks of things, there will be capable competition within the Eastern Division this year. I think we're ready to meet the challenge with more resolve than we showed last week. Tonight's game in Arizona should serve as a pretty good indicator.

So much weight people put into one game one way or another, its so much ridiculous over reaction

Agreed.

It's this way because an NFL regular season only consists of 16 games unlike baseball and basketball that play substantially more games in a season IMO.

NFL regular seasons are "worth" more

We are getting DIrving back after next week (DMoore plays tonight too). Our d will be fully healthy soon with the return of Hitchens, and hopefully Awuzie to fill out our corner depth with Scandrick, ABrown, Awuzie, JLewis, and Carroll. Wait until we see what our d is fully healthy.

And I have said over and over, we haven't even used Switzer yet at wr. Another weapon for Dak.

So far it looks like the Eagles are the most consistent and I am not sold on them. They barely beat the 0-3 Giants, they could have easily lost to the Commanders too, they too could be 0-3.

I will see how we bounce back tonight, and still give it another week to see all what will shake out. Not concerned at this point.

all I know this game tonight, at the moment, feels like it has a little more importance. Not saying a must win though.

Why make this thread? They looked impressive last night but why jump to this? This was a bad idea and the skins are very inconsistent. We'll see if this says more about them or Oak in the coming weeks.

Agree. The league with their rules/interpretations have leveled the playing field where the old adage " on any given Sunday " is moremofmamrealitynthan ever.

Also, look,at New England last years champs and now wildly inconsistent on D in particular

I think the conclusions drawn here are a bit ridiculous, but what it does show is that nothing is for certain.

Just three weeks into this season, it's already shown itself to be an amazingly unpredictable season.

Teams have already been way up and way down within that short period of time. From New England to Dallas to Minnesota to Pittsburgh to Washington, and many more.

The only thing for certain is that nothing is for certain.
