Who will make the 46-man active roster tonight?

The Dallas Cowboys head into the Monday night game against the Arizona Cardinals with a depleted secondary. Because of this, they will have to make some decisions about their active roster. Cornerbacks Nolan Carroll and Chidobe Awuzie have already been ruled out of the game, and Orlando Scandrick is coming back with a hand fracture that hasn't been tested in real combat yet. So Dallas will need to replace the first two in the rotation, and they will have to be ready in case something re-occurs with Scandrick.

They also have to accommodate the return of defensive end Damontre Moore. His return from a two-game suspension could mean a change along the actives on the defensive line. Could it be a choice between first-round pick Taco Charlton or Charles Tapper, as Todd Archer teases out in his article? The Cowboys will likely keep defensive tackle Brian Price active, especially since Stephen Paea is having knee issues.

Circling back to the secondary, it seems inevitable the Cowboys will activate Bene Benwikere as the fourth corner behind Scandrick, Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis. The Cowboys can also use Xavier Woods or even Byron Jones as emergency corners if needed.

Last week, the Cowboys had both receivers Ryan Switzer and Noah Brown active. It’s doubtful they can afford to do that again this week. With Switzer key to the special teams, Brown may be the odd-man out.

Archer’s guess at the inactives: Cooper Rush, Darren McFadden, Noah Brown, Jonathan Cooper, Anthony Hitchens, Nolan Carroll and Chidobe Awuzie.

That seems about right. Do you agree?
