I have to admit this is about as quickly as I have seen people anoint the Eagles as class of the conference in quite some time.

There were several of Reid's squads that were much superior yet they were never crowned like this.
Ah yes, another thread for the Wentz the Bedders to worship their favorite player and team. They've got 2 or 3 of them going right now.

I highly encourage all the philly to SB talk esp at this point in the season. It almost guarantees that they will fall apart.Look, they shouldn't have beaten Washington, terrible fumble call at the end. They have no running game. They are a meh team just like KC was.

And this isn't changing for at least 10 years.

Just depends on how long Wentz wants to play.

I think we started 7 and 1 Parcells first year with QuINTsy Carter at QB. We finished 9 and 7 and squeaked into the playoffs that year. A lot of football left to play boys.

Wentz could be suspended for D.V. in the near future. I imagine some blackmailing type of people are already planting moles around him as we speak. You have Goodell to thank for this potential threat.

For those living in the Phila region, an article today's daily News suggests that other than Seattle, NO ONE in the NFC poses a threat to the Eagles. In fact, so happy are the fanbase with Rodger's injury, I think city council is planning the parade. Media is buzzing with the fact that at 5-1 the Eagles are clearly the top dog in the NFC and quite possibly the NFL... Viewed as a complete team with few flaws..

I give them credit for winning the games on the schedule...the close ones....which all good teams end up doing??? Obviously the Eagles are in the drivers seat for the Division, seemingly playoff bound...But as a die hard Dallas fan its tough to swallow how things are breaking their way...Elliott suspension, Rodgers injury, OBJ hurt and AFC seemingly open.....what a bad year to not go 13-3....
The eagles play smash-mouth football. The Cowboys play fitness.
Hence, we will lose 2 against the Egirls and we'll spend the offseason wondering about the next Taco or Jaylon in the draft.

The Egirls have quickly established themselves.
Deal with it, small lad.

It's October 17th. Last time I checked the Super Bowl isn't being played for 4 months from now. Lots can happen between now and then. Look at what's happened in just the last 6 weeks.

Not too surprising when you think about it.

Several of those guys are just bandwagoners who live in the Philla/PA region and listen to 94WIP all day. Only reason they ever became Dallas fans was to sit at the cool kids table.

At this point we control our own destiny we stay healthy and get good coaching we can win this division.
Key players go down and the coaching continues to be constipated we could end up last.

We need to start by beating San Francisco and playing a complete game

I am not conceding anything to them. We will be heard from again, we also play them twice and anything can happen. They are 1-1 against good teams this year and Carolina should have won that game if Cam doesn't completely implode on the final two drives.

Birds always fly high when winning. If they go all the way to SB I hope it’s Reid and KC that do them in

He wasn't supposed to be.\ the starter. They were looking desparately for someone else to step up. Everyone else got hurt.

Again, not true.

Darby was brought in to replace the other CB - Brooks. Mills was always slated as a starter. Frankly, I don't think he's very good at all but he was the penciled in starter all of fall camp and when they acquired Darby, he replaced the oft injured Brooks, who was then cut Aug 31st.

I doubt the Eagles are going to win at the current pace. They won't go 15-1, that's for sure. But expecting this team to just implode like last year's would be foolish IMO. They had some really big holes last year - no WRs, no running game, awful CBs and despite a good front four, they had issues pressuring QBs later in the year.

They have real WRs this year, they've shown they can run the ball much better thus far, their CBs are still weak IMO but with Darby, it's better than last year's crap they had (including everyone's favorite, Nolan Carroll) and they are better at getting after the QB this year (Jernigan at DT has been a big improvement on Bennie Logan who was more a run stuffing DT).

If the Cowboys want to win the division, they are going to have to go on a big run because expecting the Eagles to spit the bit and go from 5-1 to 9-7 would be some real wishful thinking IMO.
Let's hope that their injured draft pick corner doesn't come back and be as good as they think either.

I don't think Jones is going to play this year. But if he comes back next year, they could have Darby and Sidney Jones at CB. That's pretty darn good and actually quite an improvement when two years earlier they were starting Nolan Carroll and Jalen Mills.

No, it is true. Trust me, I work out with a number of former Eagle players still close to the team.

At some point the eagles will do what they always do...........realize that "eagles" and "success" are not friends and begin their downward spiral.

Here's the first released depth chart from the Eagles in August. So unless the Eagles lied to the media but then quietly told former players what the true depth chart is, I am not sure you are accurate.

http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2017/08/eagles_release_official_2017_depth_chart_before_pa.html

The only CB they added was Darby who took over for Patrick Robinson/Ron Brooks.

So yes, Mills was always slated to be the starter at one CB spot.
