Keep thinking more, because you are wrong. Winning in court isn't the only objective. NFL needs good news right now. This isn't helping them.

NFL will not win this case book it. Zeke has the upper hand now.

I would take the deal if it were this:

Two game suspension for conduct detrimental.

NFL MUST drop any mention of domestic violence. No counseling, or future possibilities of being banned for life.
and no drug tests

Actually the NFL has more to lose than Zeke. I think the NFL is realizing that they could not only lose this case, but a federal court ruling could seriously curtail the commissioners power in future cases and eliminate the current kangaroo court Goodall has it his disposal.

This case is unique in that it is such a witch hunt and so fundamentally unfair to Zeke that the NFL has really left their *** hanging out on this one.

Having said that Zeke still runs the risk of having a DV label put on him if the suspension holds. Both sides have incentive to settle. And the NFL can settle for whatever terms it wants.

Not an attorney so I didn't go there but you have a great point.

Would make no sense if he's innocent.
I still think it's crap that Junior Galette was arrested for DV, charges dropped and he was given 2 games in 2015 (allowed to serve while on IR)

Zeke wasn't even charged...yet got 6 games. Any "deal" should be for 0 games.

A "deal" could be a fine only and no finding of DV.

My assessment based upon my experience. Book it.

This is a fan site filled with fans who have unrealistic expectations about all things pro football. That includes me.

So using yourself as your source for the 90% comment leaves more than a little to be desired in attaching any fact to your comment. But the good news is, this is an opinion site.

Unfortunately most of those turn out to be wrong around these parts.

The bad thing about this, the nfl could come out right now and say they are dropping suspension and that they believe Zeke is innocent, and his chance of getting big endorsement money will always be negatively effected. No matter what, that lady did what she was saying, and took millions from his pocket. That’s that kind of crap that can make a person paranoid when dealing with people.

The NFL can give themselves an out by claiming they've been presented some new evidence clearing Zeke of domestic violence and drop the suspension. Since they're not required to turn over any evidence, they can move on from all the negative public perception and not risk a loss in court that will limit Goodell's power. This will also allow them to save face in the whole botching of the investigation.

Should be zero games, but if a deal is made it should be:
1 game for his repeated poor judgement.
Completely cleared of DV charge and have that next time banned for life removed.
NFL admits to an unfair investigation process.
Lisa Friel gets fired.
+1. However, instead of an admission the NFL changes their investigative process/burden of proof so this $#%! show doesn't happen again.

No deal. ...i want to see roger and lisa on the stand under oath on national tv. Which is exactly what the nfl is trying to avoid.

Whether they think they can win, lose or draw they do not want to take the stand under oath...because the most important case they WILL lose is the case of public opinion once the press and fans see how corrupt the nfl and their process is.
