I think I said that Tanaka was pretty much the best Starter the Yankees have had going in the Playoffs right? I get it, it's more convenient to ignore what I said rather then admit it's true.

Tanaka gives you 7 strong innings, Yankees are at home and able to get enough offense going. I feel as if this is exactly what I've been saying this entire discussion. The key will be Severino on Friday. Severino has to pitch better then he has thus far. Severino has been the best starter the Yankees have had this season, IMO. His outing against the Twins was horrible but he has good stuff. We have to get a great start out of him because Verlander is tough and double tough against the Yankees.

I hope I see the trend reverse in game 6 because that will mean a chance at another WS but if it doesn't, I hope you come back in here and tell me how right you are and how wrong I am again. We will see.

C.C. and Severino have pitched like Aces.

Sevi had that one bad game... so did Ace Keuchel.

I get it... I do... (joke, I don’t get it)... you are wrong on this one on all counts.

Nothing was available for me either. I tried all 3 days. I am pissed.

My boys were looking forward to this. Now I have to shell out $500 and buy on stubhub.

No, I am not but I understand. If I were you, I might say the same thing (joke, no I would not because that would not be honest). I hope the pitching continues to improve and we do manage to win a WS but our pitching on the road, and even at home at times, has not been good enough IMO. I do hope Severino returns to form on Friday. I believe he is a good young pitcher and I do believe that his first post season start was not the pitcher he really is, but you never know about this kind of thing. Not enough info to go off of, at this point. Keuchel, we got a little bit lucky there IMO. Don't get me wrong, I'll take it but we did. That guy is historically, a much better pitcher against us. Up until last night, that guy was 2-0 in the playoffs against us. He was 4-2 in the regular season with 2 complete games and one shutout. He had a 1.09 ERA, lifetime, vs Yankees. 9.1 SO per 9 Innings or 45 SOs in 44 innings. He had a career ERA of 0.0 against us, lifetime, in the playoffs. We were fortunate IMO but hey, I am happy to see it. The test will be when we have to face Verlander on the road.

I will say this though, the pitching has gotten better over the last 3 games or so and I am happy to see this. I hope that trend continues.

Well, I was never really unhappy, per say. I just look at it and say what I believe. As I said, the test will be Friday. I hope we get Verlander but he's tough. I don't love our chances if we are tied up, going into a game 7 on the road.

You expressed unhappiness with our less than adequate, less than average starting pitching.

I am glad you are happy... have been... for some time. Lol

You are setting up a “gotcha” (in your mind only) if we don’t beat and win the Verlander game.... if we don’t win game 7.

For me... things are clear. Pitching has been close to lights out. Don’t go by me... go by explainers/commenters. No one agrees with your assessment of the starting pitchers.

So now you are going to tell me about what I think or feel about the Yanks or the game? LOL.....

You need to wake up man. It's a game and that's really all it is. I would like to see the Yankees win but if they don't, I'm seriously going to be OK with it. If nobody agrees with me, that's fine. I have big shoulders and it wouldn't be the first time I've had people say to me, all things you are now. Won't be the last time either, I'm sure. You know what, it also won't be the first time or the last time that I hear it, only to see it unfold just as I said and never hear another word about it.

I'm on the record. I don't believe our pitching staff has performed well, especially on the road. They will have to if they want to move on and I hope they do. We have seen the numbers improve over the last few games but we have played more home games then away games, to this point, and the trends have pretty much followed suit. The next two (if we need two) are on the road. That will tell us more about our team then anything else.

Dude, don't jinx it. I am shaking like a leaf. Series isn't over yet. :)

No jinx baby.

It’s all gravy. I am good no matter what happens. They have made this fun.

I still think we are molding to a team of destiny here.

Actually Tanaka was our 3rd best starter going into the playoffs....Severino being #1 and C.C. being #2....yeah I said it...C.C. Sabathia. Guy has been on fire.;)
