Romo goes to Green Bay and beats the Cowboys in the divisional round.

The universe in perfect balance.

You think Romo would take Aikman's spot? I highly doubt that.

I think Romo would have no issues finding work. Period.

You think CBS would be so hurt that they'd refuse to rehire him?

He'll get work...but he's not going to be #1 on a broadcast team like he is now.

I don't have the answer to whether or not CBS wouldn't re-hire him. I know they want to protect their brand and their product and having him dip out while still learning on the go wouldn't be wise for them.

I like Romo as a broadcaster.......but I think you overrate his impact as if he's irreplaceable.

It seems everybody is forgetting the competitive fire that this guy has, I bet he would at least think about it.

Saying that, I don't think it will happen but it wouldn't be a total shoker, at least not to me.
Plus, he's doing so great in the booth he would get the/a job back in a second.

BTW, here's his cousin and best friend on twitter today.

So, Rodgers breaks a collar bone. Yeah. Go there, Tony.
yeah supposedly Tony is the only guy to get broken bones. Rodgers just like tony has had two broken collarbones. I guess Derek Carr's broken leg means nothing as well.

If I am the Packers, hell yeah, you make the call. You'd be dumb not to.

That being said, I doubt he'd say yes. I mean there are so many factors at play here anyway - is he even in shape? How long would it take him to get into playing shape?

There was a rumor that he had an out in his CBS contract if he had the opportunity to go back and play.

I lean on the side that thinks he won't play in Green Bay.

With that said though, we all know that he still wants to play and that he probably still thinks that he can play. I have no doubt that it's atleast crossed his mind.

Yep...you haven't practiced in a year, so...just go there and get slaughtered within 2 games and throw your broadcasting career away. Are people here nuts?
