I get it... I do... it’s easy to bag on Girardi...

But... when score one run that is not usually going to get you a win.

I think Severino should have come out with all those walks... but... he didn’t.

Yankees gotta get runs.

Pitching won’t decide this game.

Pitching decides almost every game. That's just how Baseball works.

I thought we were gonna get another 2-1 ball game like we did in games 1 and 2. Won't shock me one bit if tonights game is like that. My biggest fear is Houston comes out on fire. I got a feeling Houston woke up last night...and the Yanks won't have an answer. I can see last nights momentum carry over. Just like in softball tourneys...a team can start rolling....and everyone feeds off one another. Kind of got that vibe last night from the Stroes.

If Houston comes out early in the 1st and scores...this could get ugly.

But...to the Yanks credit...I don't think they will quit...like the Cubs. They will fight. That's been their MO all season. I don't see that changing now...

Sooo.... pitchers pitch in to thin air?

No credit for hitters.

Why doesn’t hitting decide every game? Last I checked.... pitchers didn’t pitch runs on to the scoreboard.

Reminds me of old girlfriend.. just said the opposite for the sake of saying the opposite. Lol

If not for all the walks... I don’t think they “wake up”

They go back sleep tonight..... realize they didn’t wake up... but that it was a nightmare all along.

LOL..... You can't be series with this right? I mean, OK, I'll play it your way. How many runs have you seen put up without a Pitcher actually making a Pitch? You not only shoot yourself in the foot here, it ricochet off a rock and came back up and caught you in the brain pan. I mean, seriously?

Baseball is like the only sport where the Defense initiates play. Of course pitching dictates the game. Without a pitch, there is no game.

I give up with you. You can't even seriously defend your statement here but you know what, I bet you'll try to.

I wish I could read MLB players' minds just to know if they ever think "don't hit it to me...don't hit it to me" in big games like this.

Some actually do :lmao: Most do want the ball but of the can of corn or easy grounder variety, not a gapper or something.

We had one guy fake a strained hammy in the 7th inning of a tied playoff game. He was known to get nervous well before any game, much more for an important one.

Even some of your best players sieze up when the pressure is on, it is what separates average to great players. I was of the average but never afraid of them hitting towards me

The routine stuff is easier but boy if you miss one...

Well luckily not many big leaguers get bucknered. :)
