Like I said earlier, it's both. Shanahan didn't become stupid when he went to San Fran. He doesn't have the players he had in Atlanta.

That is the stock excuse but it does not apply after a couple of years.

One year? He does not have the players.

Two years? He needs more.

Three years? There is that one guy. Maybe.

After that, you are spinning your wheels trying to find players that fit the system but fail to get that really, the system is the issue.

Success in the NFL is fleeting. And it is very much a product of circumstance in a lot of cases.

Good coaching plus good players equals contender.

Jimmy didn't get smarter in 1992 than he was in 1989. He had better players by 1992.

Doesn't change the fact that it takes good coaching AND good players to win.

Vince Lombardi was a great coach. He was better in Green Bay than he was in Washington. Why? Better players.

Because Sarkisian isn't as good a coach as Shanahan. My argument is consistent, your attempts to misrepresent it notwithstanding.

Good players need good coaching, and vice versa. Not sure what the hell you're arguing at this point.

Well the Falcons have not been the same team all year, and were fortunate to have won some games they shouldn't have. We can take them in Atlanta.

Too much turnover on the offensive staff for Atlanta. Not only did they lose Shanahan but also their QB coach and RB coach

Atlanta didn't score a point in over 6 quarters vs Miami and New England. Sarkisian should be fired for that alone, given the tools they have on offense.

Atlanta's 1 scoring drive took so long that it iced the game. Their 2 minute drill took 5 minutes!
