Tipped passes on our first drive could have been avoided with more precision. Unacceptable. Also Dez's drop should have been more accurate. Hit him between the 8's but slightly low. Dak's fault.

There isn't - we beat up a team with an awful defense (bad pass defense, bad run defense) and a bad offense now on their backup QB.

Again, maybe I'd celebrate if we had a cupcake schedule ahead. Except we don't. We have shown we can't beat good teams - we've lost all three. It just gets tougher from here.
We beat a team that lost five games by a sum of 13 points.I believe that number is correct
However some would rather bring a goat turf to contribute to the punch bowl.
We beat them handled but theres no joy in mudsvill for the Mattster

i know one thing for sure, there is a bunch of teams in this league, that wish they had Dak as their QB...and their isn't very many QB's i would trade him straight up for. consider this team extremely lucky we got him and where we got him (4th rounder)

1/2 the teams in this league are starting guys who aren't really NFL starting QB quality.

Some like the young rookie we played today MIGHT be developed into a starting QB someday.

But let's look at some of the QB's that played today in the NFL in Week 7:

Cody Kessler
Brett Hundley
Jacoby Brissett
Drew Stanton
Josh McCown
Matt Moore
Case Keenum
C.J. Beathard
Trevor Siemian

Some of these guys are playing and will likely start next wee due to injury. Other are playing because coaches have nobody better. Siemian just 'led' the Broncos to a massively horrible 21-0 butchering at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Some teams are starting rookies this year, the Bears with Trubisky and the Texans with Watson, after starting the season and losing multiple games with guys like Tom Savage and Mike Glennon.

For every Drew Brees or Matt Stafford in this league, there's a team starting someone like Josh McCown or Brian Hoyer.

A *starting* NFL quality QB is a rare commodity. There aren't enough for all 32 teams and you can debate which guys are on the cusp of becoming staring caliber vs just a bus driving journeyman, but around 16 of the teams in this league would take Dak in a heartbeat.

14 TD's vs 4 interceptions in 4 games this year - and two of those interceptions were on the WR who mishandled the catch and popped the ball up.

3 rushing TD's already this year when he had 6 last season.

He's a legitimate threat to run it in himself in the red zone. Teams MUST account for that.

This is a special player. At the pace he's going he's gong to throw 30+ TD's this season and run for 9-10 TD's on the ground.

He'd have led this team to 5-1 right now if the defense had done it's job in the 4th quarter of two close, tough games.

He's still learning, his ceiling hasn't been reached yet, any fan who isn't excited about this guy has more problems than I can help them with.

not to be critical Prescott did miss on nine attempts. he had a good game but this game was all about zeke and the o-line.

In fairness to Dak, he was being hurried more often than not by the SF rush but still managed to fare quite sufficiently. While our OL is doing much better in their run blocking, their pass protection still leaves much to be desired. It's not all peaches and cream for Dak by any means.

I still don't like how he throws from the pocket. He is jittery and looks nervous. I wish they would role him out more often. He shines when he throws on the run. Good game Dak.

That's due to the OL being less than efficient in their pass protection than run blocking.

They've long been better run blocking than pass protection. Shoot, you'd be jittery too.

I didn't say so far this year. The post I responded to was talking about pace for the season, and that's what my 25 was referring to. Looks like you misunderstood.
I followed my advice and went to bed..... you should have done the same. The numbers just don't make any sense:
25 ints ÷16 games =1.56 dropped ints/game
2-3 ints per game = 36-48 dropped ints per season.
You must be one of those guys that jumps on those Facebook math problems and not only does the math wrong; you also screw up counting the fruit. Percy, are you free for some tutoring?
Tip # 1 - don't attack Dak with numbers. Many people much smarter than me and you have tried and failed.

Tip #2 - You should just sit and watch the Cowboys games while looking stupid instead of opening your mouth and removing all doubt.

Agreed that criticisms of members here are often overdone and inconsiderate. We all have a right to our opinions, like it or not.
And we all have a right to react to those opinions, like it or not, though I don’t know Matt or anyone else here well enough to criticize his character. Having said that…I can understand the desire to be realistic, but the constant stream of negativity that seems to dominate this board sometimes is really annoying. And after a 30 point win? I don’t get it. Is Dak Prescott Tom Brady? No, but Tom Brady wasn’t Tom Brady halfway Through his second year as an NFL starter either. Being Annoyed by cynical posters is my problem though. I can walk away from here anytime I want.

What stream of negativity are you referring to?

LOL, 3 TD passes and a TD run and it was all Zeke and the OL.

Well, the one TD pass was more like an extended handoff. Have to give Elliott and the blocking most of the credit on that one.

Prescott is a elite qb and plays well most every game he is not the reason the cowboys are 3 and 3 zeke is good and the oline is good but dak is really good also

So you consider dropped interceptions that usually happen every game to be on the same level as a tipped interception?

Same level in what regard? I'd say a QB is just as fortunate in one case as he is unfortunate in the other.

I disagree that dropped interceptions happen generally every game. And I would suggest that actual interceptions happen more often than dropped interceptions when the ball hits defenders in both hands. I'd say Dak has already had nearly a season's worth so far this year.

Let's not pretend that tipped interceptions are rare.
