Anyone who says Derwin James has never seen the kid play...

Makes zero plays and will be a combine warrior.... Sound familiar to anyone?

Lol he’s much better than Byron but the Sean Taylor talk is weak as well

Yeah. Sounds like the people who argued Jalen Ramsey couldn't be a CB in this league - all combine warrior, no production.

How'd that turn out?

Not according to the experts around here who said it would be a mistake to take Ramsey who had little to no interceptions in college and didn't have eye popping passes defended stats.

As a CB, Ramsey had 3 interceptions and 22 passes defended in 3 seasons at FSU. James, has 2 interceptions and 14 passes defended in what amounts to 2 full seasons at FSU. Virtually identical if extrapolated over 3 full seasons.

It also highlights the pitfalls of just looking at stats and making sweeping generalizations, like many did here with Ramsey.

I have a feeling that this draft is going to lack depth all over the place. Strategy will be very interesting this time around.

Been working on my mock/draft board....This draft is really lacking in solid prospects all over...It's really gonna need the Jrs to step in...and even maybe the RS Sophs.

I'm thinking this maybe the year to either trade back for picks in 2019 or trade up to get a solid pick...because the quality just isn't there after round 3.

If we ended up with Arden Key I would **** myself. It's actually possible.

Yeah, Jerry is special that way.

To me, if you can bundle to move up and get a Quenton Nelson, a Bradley Chubb, or a Derwin James, you do it. If you play the let the draft come to you game, then you seriously need to consider punting to next year. The depth just doesn't look like it's there this year.
Yes, they need an elite player more than the need quantity.

I have no idea where the Cowboys will eventually pick but if Josh Allen is on the board I would take him. I'm not sold on Dak even though I like him a lot. At the very least it would bring competition to the position.
I agree but I think Allen might be the Wentz of this draft.
