So what IMO.

He was a hippy dippy drug crazed vagrant who was looney tunes and got other hippy dippy drug crazed vagrants to believe his mentally deranged crap and do his dirty work for him.

I would say living 40+ years of rent free with free food a boon for that guy.

That's why he continued to act crazy anytime someone came in to interview him....he knew he was living better than he ever did on the outside.

Exactly.

Not only did we feed, cloth and provide health care.

We kept the guy safe.

What a deal for him.

Yeah, he was a petty thief, con man and drifter before he became a cult leader in CA. Vulnerable simpletons made him famous. Prison life (when protected in segregation) would be seamless compared to being a mere sociopath homeless man and conning your way through life. The swastika on bw his brows were likely related to his protection via AB.

Charles Manson is the best argument for the Death Penalty there has ever been.

He killed nobody...he had some weak minded fools kill for him.

He did not even pay them like some pay a hitman to do for them.

He was never as evil as people made him out to be.

He was a drug induced vagrant who was probably bi-polar and schizophrenic but was smart enough manipulate idiots with drugs and some pyscho babble bs.

True he didn't physically kill anyone.

He was however at the site (in the house) of the Labianca murders directing his members to "Do this" and "Do that".

I think getting life in prison was a bit much for never touching anyone.
