I'm not spending much time over analyzing the playoff scenarios quite yet.

Bottom line is we probably can't lose more than 1 game from here on out. Doubt we get into the tournament with 7 or more losses.

So, our work is cut out for us.

See what happens.

Their conf. record is also 5-1 right now. Their schedule is pretty brutal though. This is what I meant by these teams play each other still, and some twice.
Vikings have Lions, Falcons, Panthers, GB, Bears, and Bengals too. So actually we need to root for them to beat the 3 teams we competing with on that list. And also get ahead of the Eagles, as not to have the Eagles having HF advantage.

Panthers, if they drop some games too would help, to Vikings, GB, NO, even get upset by Jets and TB. Then they and Falcons play the last game of the season.

There are quite a few scenarios like this giving teams losses that we are competing with.

Right, I looked at the schedules, and just too many variables right now. We just need to win.
I spent 5 minutes or so, may 10 by now, LOL. and just too may teams that play each other yet, which is good for us as long as we win.
But I don't think we can lose but one more game. And even that may be it.

if we lose tomorrow, then may as well just play for a better draft position. Because it won't be playing to get a new coaching staff, Jerry has his built in excuse.

I just hope his jet is spotted somewhere at an airport with some meeting going on again... :laugh:

It's not impossible, but not likely unless they figure this out. Maybe with players coming back, the team turns it around and gets hot. It's not like other teams haven't done this, but again, highly unlikely.

There have been teams that were all but out of it, with like 6 losses and went on to win the rest of the games, and made the playoffs. I think one team actually won the SB. Giants or Steelers maybe?

In 1991 we were 3-7, went on to win 4 straight, needed a win to get a WC, but Aikman was injured and we lost the last 2 games. Even then we had a chance to get in at 7-9, but didn't.
So it can happen.
Oh, wait, they had good coaching staffs. Never mind. :laugh:
